Actually it is done time and time again in the NFL. Ice the kicker and hope for a block. Sorry that the whole staff had a plan that didnt work but it happens. The game was lost long before that.
The only thing that can make the fan base feel a tiny tiny bit better is a win in Tuscaloosa which I can't see happening with this defense.
