Although it was time for a change, this makes me sad. I will always miss the genuine, good man that we had the pleasure of calling our coach. Many of these players considered him to be their father figure and now he is gone. I wish Les nothing but the best. LINK

I agree - although it was clearly time, I don't understand the celebration of a guy getting fired.

Pretty sure you were the only one who didn't, Jamal.

You have to remember that for some of these kids Coach Miles may have been the only father figure they have ever had. As fans we get caught up in football during the season but we often forget that these players are kids and they are a team 365 days a year not the three months that we watch on Saturdays between beer runs. For a lot of them it is like they lost their father today!

Never saw him fussing at practice. Jeez

Some of the reasons the kids love him so much are the reasons he's getting fired.

Our kids need a good coach not a good guy to look up to as a father.

The players obviously loved the man and he obviously loved his players and the university.

It was time and it's unfortunate it went down this way, but he will be get a standing ovation when he comes back and gets recognized in 10 years.

I understand celebrating a guy getting fired when you've wanted it to happen for a while.

I don't understand why these same people here continue to bash him today after getting what they wanted.

Here here. Quality man no doubt who's earned my admiration. I Wish it ended differently. Time to move on.

I hate it for the kids as well. Les was a good leader and great man for these kids to look up too.. Just didn't win enough games, and his teams regressed theast few years.

My take on this is Alleva needs to be fired. F King needs to go to of they have the power to do it. If you have enough cause to Fire a 12 yr head coach 4 games into the season, they had the cause to do it last year.

It woulda been much better all around doing it in December 2015 than f'n September 2016.

I can't speak for others but I haven't.

As far as I'm concerned, it's done. It needed to happen. It did.

Now. Here's to hoping we get the next step right.

I'm not going to pretend I have some sympathy for Miles. Buy, there's no longer a reason to discuss his coaching. He isn't LSUs coach. I'll discuss his coaching from here forward about much add I discuss the coach of Kentucky. Which is to say barely at all.
