You don't even know his name

Has to be Herman or Fisher
Guys, it's not that simple. There are many variables to all of this. Herman is not coming here. Despite what most fans believed last year, there are contractual state funding issues that are causing issues - regardless of what TAF can contribute for buyouts. The best thing we can do right now is get behind these players and let the coaching issue play out.

What he did with San Jose was great and looks like the same happening at Colorado
I'm aware of his track record, but he needs to have a full season of success at Colorado.
He's an intriguing candidate, and he's slightly off the radar. Any guy who can recruit at Colorado, which has absurd recruiting restrictions, should be able to clean up at a program like LSU.

I'm becoming more impressed with Paul Chryst by the week...

He's also got SEC coaching experience

Todd Monken (OC Tampa Bay).

No Petrino under no circumstance.
I want to see LSU win, but I am not willing to sacrifice integrity and hire a shitty human being to do it.

Who the frick cares? You're hiring a football coach, not a priest.

People would say Petrino is scum until he hangs 60 on someone and then he becomes an offensive genius with some character flaws!
Posted on 9/25/16 at 10:03 am to SG_Geaux
so petrino fricked an intern, the difference between him and most coaches? He got caught
Herman is my #1 but come on

You're joking right?

Would be an interesting poll.
Just win baby

Kiffin
Asking for trouble. Now, if they decide to hire O and offer Kiffin the offense - maybe on a trial basis.
Herman is the clear "prettiest girl in the room" right now, and it would be possible to keep key members of the defensive staff (mainly O as RC/DL and, maybe DC) if that happened.
(On a semi-related note - I'd like to know what it would take to lure Joe Rob home from Texas Tech for special teams.)

Please explain...

Petrino and Kiffin should not be considered "legit." Although I was told that Kiffin is on the short list that is
I think Petrino is a morally corrupt human being. That said, he is one of the better coaches, particularly in terms of putting a complete product (Offense, Defense and Special Teams) on the field. I've always been of the opinion that really good players or coaches with a shady past can only rebuild their image by bringing their talent to MY team .
Curious what your thoughts are on Mark Dantonio are? Seems like he's done quite a bit at a place that has a lot of recruiting competition.

LSU will make him an offer he can't refuse. I think Herman signing on the dotted line might be Alleva's only saving grace.

Maybe David Shaw.
Will never happen.
- He's a graduate of Stanford.
- He's already turned down NFL offers.
- No sane person would leave Palo Alto for Baton Rouge.
