Lee as QB, Shep rather than JJ as read option, running QB

IMO, this would be the formula that would make our offense hum and possibly takes us to Atlanta.

JJ actually ran fairly well last night, but Shep would be an entirely different runner than JJ. We all know he has game changing ability. We can only wonder if Shep would have taken some of those runs to the house. Some of the QB runs were wide open.

ETA: We need to scrap the read option with Lee. He will never keep the ball, and I don't blame him.

i have been thinking that but have been changing my tune lately. The biggest problem being lack of game expierience at that position. I remember tyrod taylor at VAtech being the number 1 dual thread coming out and it took him 3 years to get comfortable back there. And i would be terrified that shep would fumble or get hurt. Bad idea.

it'd be great if he did, the D always goes with the RB. show us them new and improved, 15 lbs lighter wheels, JL!

Shep has plenty of experience running the read option. That is the only play I'm talking about him running as a QB. For all other snaps, he is back at WR.

Agree, JJ is going to get us beat if he continues to throw the ball...Slow release, slow read of D..poor accuracy..
JL, and Shep..
