Our total offense has improved, but not much. The important improvement is scoring offense and turnover margin.

I think Lee was underestimated by a ton of people, coaching staff included. 12th rated, who would have ever guessed that?

JLEE is the offensive MVP of this football team thus far.

Which is currently ranked 15th in the nation, as opposed to 45th last year. So yeah, the offense has improved, a ton.

Reali-tiger!

I think our offense is better, the yardage stats just don't show it. We turn the ball over less, our defense is stout, and we haven't really had to do anything flashy. I think when the time comes our offense can really move the ball.

so if the defense and special teams give LSU great field position, that's the offenses fault?

are you retarded?

Short fields due to turnover margin, greatly improved kicking game. Hard to go farther than the EZ.

so you answered your own dumb rebuttal

if LSU starts at the 40 on every drive and only has 300 yards but beats the other team by 28, you don't think the total yardage stat can be thrown out?

agreed.

K, did I disagree with this? The yardage stats still don't show our offense has improved much. y'all act like i'm trashing our offense, I'm not. I'm just saying stats don't tell the whole story. I mentioned our defense, lack of turnovers, and improved scoring offense too indicate that total yardage stats don't tell the whole story. I agree our offense is improved, yet y'all still insist on jumping on my nuts.

Based on total yardage, our offense hasn't improved much. I'm not sure how anyone can actually disagree with that. My point is, that those stats don't tell the whole story. I agree it is hard to gain yards when you constantly get turnovers and I even mentioned that turnovers and scoring offense are the most important improvements.

ETA: I also didn't link the ypg stats to be negative, I simply linked them because they are a more relevant stat than total yards imo. When some teams have played 8 games and some only 7, the total yards aren't a very good standard. YPG is a better way to compare the teams. I only linked the 2010 stats because the OP was comparing this year to last year and I thought I would do the same.
