Mrtiger, that has been the point. Take two pick 6's away from 52 and they have 38. The same pts Lee put up. He stuck in there and gave us 500yds of offense too. Any help from the defense and we win. I guess I was wrong at the beginning of the season thinking the D would keep us IN all the games.

Yeah, I get it and I agree with you. Lee's doing as well as I expected so far this year IMO.

Statistically, Lee was good enough. I don't put the loss on him - I put it on our inability to cover key playmakers.

Knock(s) on Lee

(1) Pick six to begin the game. It put us on the defensive even before the defense took the field

(2) He had 6 or 7 straight incompletions at one point even with time to throw. Can't have this happen when you are down 14 pts to a quality opponent.

Again, Lee was not the primary reason we lost. It was the defense.

Agree 100%. A freshman QB on any college level team is gonna make mistakes. However, I don't think Lee's mistakes were what cost us that game. He was GOOD ENOUGH!

I think it means to provide an opinion but I am too lazy to look up the definition.

Lee has made some great throws this year, and he's missed quite a few. His misses have been big, but he has 100% shown me enough that his growing pains are going to be over quickly.

In my opinion, this kid has all the tools: big arm, calm in the pocket, will take a hit, make the tough throws, manage the game, etc that is appropriate for his stage of development. With seasoning this guy will be an all SEC caliber quarterback. Our offense gashed UGA for most of the game. His INT's certainly crippled us, but the offense moved the ball with him leading it.

Turns out Jimbo Fisher was right: The most popular guy on the football team is the backup QB

Seriously guys; the rest of the season is gonna be great, but if you're not with me, and you happen to have tickets I'll gladly take 'em.

Up here all we have is the Jets, and.....well they suck.

he way I see it is Lee And Hatch are not improving. They are both FR QBS in a way. Having both QBS sub in and out the game is messing the flow of the O. Well JJ has the talent of both lee and Hatch so why not give him a try so he can learn like Stafford did last year. Theres know way either lee are hatch will bet out JJ next spring anway!!! So i say give him a SHOT!!!If he can't cut it pulling him!!!

If you were Head Coach, with our record, would you sit one of the most productive quarterbacks in the conference and replace him with a green freshman?
Lee has one problem that is evident. Fix that and he could very well be the total offense leader in the conference this year.

You are right. To state or provide an opinion.

It's true. People love the backup qb when he's not in the game and making the mistakes no matter how good or bad he is. We can't just keep switching up qbs and hope one of them turns out to be great. Give Lee some time and he'll get better. Stop calling for his job and cut the kid some slack.

Agree. This kid was highly recruited out of Texas and will be a star before he graduates. It's all about reps, and since we wasted all those on RP, then we have to give Lee some time.

After all its not like he's chop liver.

But half of his interceptions were when the game was already out of reach. I mean, shite, if it looks like you're going to lose anyway, why not take some chances downfield? frick, man.

1st pick vs app state almost taken back to the house durin the flow of the game.
1 pick against Miss ST during flow of the game gave them hope and kept it close
1 pick against Auburn during flow of the game put lsu behind
2 picks against Florida effectively put lsu behind and the game out of reach.
3 picks against Georgia effectively put lsu behind, stopped possible game leading drive, and the last just made it a laugher.
1 pick against South Carolina was during flow of the game that led to south carolina scoring.

I see people are defending his play for being a freshman but his picks have been during games and have killed momentum and put LSU in a hole in most games.

Lee has thrown 28 points to the other team this year, so for all of the Lee avg. pts per game stats be sure to include the 28 pt deduction

Hopefully if Jefferson gets in and performs well, we don't have the qb wars in the fanbase that was Jr vs Flynn and to an extent Flynn vs RP. Even though some on here after RP threw 2 picks last year was already saying lee was the smarter, more accurate qb. Hopefully somebody/anybody steps up at the qb position. I know lee is a freshman but after watching pros man the position for the last 3 years, you just get spoiled.
