He seems to have developed quite an arsenal of poise, statements and motivational capabilities, all at once. I particularly like how he empowers his staff, and how they respond to his leadership. He brings the energy everyone has cited, but he maintains his composure on the sidelines very well as a balance. And, his frankness in communications is refreshing. I also love the way he ends all of his interviews saying "Geaux Tigers".

He seems to have truly taught himself how to become a better head coach!

Very impressed with CEO honestly kinda rooting for him to finish it out and get the job!

I don't think he's developed them at all, at least recently.

I think the man has played this scenario out, 'visualization' in sports terms, in his head thousands of times before the season even started. He does seem to be an "old hand" at such things, so it makes sense that at least in his head this is the 1001th time he's done a LSU post game.

Did anybody else get the feeling that when we hired Ed, this is where it was all going?

I remember him being hired and thinking, I wish he could just be our head coach.

I remember a couple years before O was hired there were quite a few people saying they didn't want O anywhere near the program.

CEO seems to be a play we are watching that was written a long time ago

I liked him as part of the staff. Leaning towards him having a chance based on the USC stint and his energy and his recruiting. So far, He is showing a lot of preparedness and open-mindedness, which were the areas LSU most needed freshness. If he goes 3-1 in final games and has the Tigers looking ready and contending for each and every game, I think Alleva will be inclined to remove the temporary title.

He also repeats a lot that the main focus of the team should be to play "60 minutes". Refreshing that he likes to get stronger as the game goes on and keep the pressure on.

LSU seems to be a better 2nd half team, as Bama is. I hope they come out fast and show improvement in their first half play this game.

The way they made the switch is pretty much confirms your theory. I never thought much about the hire other than his recruiting skills. But this makes a lot of sense.
