I'm way behind and didn't see a topic this week. Did he look ok or is he done for good?

He had a bullpen session this past week and his elbow felt fine. But he said he was rusty with his control. Supposed to have another bullpen session this week.

No surprise there. Has he pitched since summer?

Awesome, thanks. Probably will not be ready this year, but you could always hope and pray to get another legit arm in the bullpen.

I have no information but wouldn't it be nice to inject him into the rotation around SEC tournament time?

Depending how things shakeout the next two weeks, I guess the South Carolina series is also a possibility if we wrap things up.

I'm hoping we can get a couple sweeps and have Latz pitching a good bit against South Carolina. Would be a great way to get ready for the tournament.

To me you'd have to get him work in at least a series or a tight spot in the SEC tournament, so long as we keep winning and the tournament isn't relevant. You just don't know how he'd respond until you put him in a pressure situation. Sounds like he'd be for sure ready for a super regional, but that can't be a guys first appearance.

Not going to happen.

You'll see him an inning or 2 if at all.

If all goes well, they will try and pitch him at some point against UNO. The problem is after that for him to be there you have to leave someone else off the travel/postseason roster. I'm not sure if I see that happening unless he just really looks outstanding.

Who would be left off of the travel roster? I think if he comes back with even a glimpse of what he was we need him in the postseason. He was compared to Lange and maybe even better.

The UNO game would be a perfect scenario if possible

For some reason it seems like our pitchers peak before postseason (or just face stiffer competition) and aren't as effective during postseason play the past few seasons. Might be nice to have a fresh pitcher to play a Chad Jones-type role.
