the combination of shaky OL play and relying on long-developing passing plays with mett at QB was a spectacle this year for sure

Clemson had more last night than LSU has had in it's last two bowl games plus the SECCG last year.

The Les Miles scheme works as long as everything goes 100% right and according to plan. A few injuries or mistakes and the entire thing goes to crap. He lives to close to the edge. There's no adapting to anything.

It's a simple offense that relies on superior talent to execute and overpower it's opponent. It's catching up to him.

The past two post season games are graphic evidence

1. Their o-line protects, and McCarron has all day to sit back in the pocket. LSU can't keep its QB upright on a three step drop.

2. McCarron (who is in no way, shape or form, an all-world QB talent) still manages to put the deep pass on the money most of the time when he takes his shots. Mettenburger puts it of the WR maybe 15% on the time. Big arm, suspect "touch".

3. Many times LSU keeps everyone in to block and runs a one man route. If that guy is covered, the play is fricked. You force you QB to either eat the ball in that situation, or stick the ball into a very tight window. Mett did a lot of both this year

Agreed with all 3 points. And I fricking hate those 1 man route pass plays. That's the exact opposite of helping your offense with a play call.
