Last night should’ve been a rude awakening for Speights

Great kid, But it’s another example of players thinking they’re better than they are & try to come play with the big boys. Hard Truth.

Nah, he had better coaching at Oregon State. He was put in a position to succeed there.

I can’t help but wonder if he could be better next season. He looks super slow, but he had a hip injury. Those don't completely heal for months and they affect pretty much every movement you make.
After Damone Clark, I won’t give up on any player in the hands of a good coach. House hasn’t done shite with any of our LBs yet, so maybe Speights would be better healthy and with a better staff.
Maybe Blake Baker is worth a look? He did well in his season here. He has some LA connections and considered to be a good recruiter. He’s had a solid season at Mizzou as their DC.

Speights is the worst linebacker I e ever seen at LSU.
Smith may be the worst DL
Ryan is the worst CB
Burns is the worst safety.

And that’s why I say there’s really nothing House can do man against teams like BAMA. We have bad football players at all 3 levels!!!!!!! Aranda isn’t getting off the field either with this roster.

If they had a coach that knew how to develop and motivate players they wouldn’t be so bad. One or two kids don’t develop, that is understandable. When everyone on defense is the same or worse than last year, that is on the bunch of good balls on the defensive coaching staff. They are all terrible.

This is the type of question that needs to be asked to BK at a press conference by a reporter. There is no reason either of the Weeks brothers shouldn’t have seen the field with how our main two LB’s were playing.

I disagree with this. Aranda turned our 2016 defense into a good unit after a couple of down years as Chavis bailed and Steele basically did nothing in 2015. He did it by adjusting his scheme to what we had. And they continued improving through 2017 and 18.
It took a while in 2019, but he was also able to adjust to the huge change in the offensive style and tempo. We also had a ton of injuries that season that he had to work around. But he had the defense playing its best when it mattered.

So one year of football made him forget how to tackle,shed blocks, take proper angles, play hard, contain , and not be afraid to hit???? He did all those things at Oregon State and somehow got a case of amnesia?
