6-11 from the free throw line (6 of those attempts coming in the last 1:11)
7 turnovers
0-3 from 3
2 FG made:
-Timeout called with 10 seconds on shot clock. inbounds to Josh Gray, and he gets a pick and takes a retarded running jumper from just inside the free throw line that luckily goes in. Way to draw it up JJ.
-Blakeney follow up dunk off a offensive rebound.

Ben Simmons - zero shots
Hornsby - zero shots
Quarterman - zero shots

Blakeney attacked the goal with under a minute left and up 10 twice and got fouled, both times with over 25 seconds left on the shot clock.
We came out of two timeouts and ran plays for Josh Gray without anyone else touching the ball. Long Josh Gray missed 3 and the lucky runner he banked in.

New year, same shite as last year.
This is why we lose to NC State, Marquette, Wake Forest, and why we will lose the first game of the tourney, if we make it, and i'd bet we will have a double digit lead in that game and lose it.

We don't seem to close well, at all. I think with a thin line-up, guys are just tired, but it could be other things....

Is it ban-worthy to tell someone to go frick themselves? If not, then those sentiments go to the OP for a bitchy and whiny post after a legit road win. I am sick of the shite that some of you come up with. If it makes you so miserable, go root for some other team and GTFO.

If it isn't kosher to tell someone to go frick themselves, then I'll just say quit being a bitch. I think that is worthy.

Josh gray has made that shot before.

Let's not mention Victor had 3 of those tos and we played without our starting pg Tim.

Keith was terrible all night.

Ben went into passive mode again. Defense played pretty decent, they started calling some cheap fouls on Victor.

Already throwing in the towel, huh? Kind of bitchmade, but that's your prerogative.

I thought they were dominant all game, just tried to slow it down too much and Brandon Sampson had some bad turnovers. Ben looked aggressive and Blakeney is played much better D. The refs were fricking terrible at the end though.

LSU WINS in a tough place to play on the road, just ask Kentucky, to go to 3-2 on the road and 7-2 in conference for sole possession of 2nd place at the halfway point. UK and USCe both lose on the road, and A&M plays a tough road game tomorrow night, in a place we won, which could have us tied for the lead in conference. Also we win by 12 points AND YOU COME HERE TO POST THIS shite??????

Like I've said before, the only way to satisfy this pathetic place is to go undefeated, win the Natty, and fire the coach. What a bunch of idiots

LSU doesn't have a very organized or structured half-court offense. They just don't. They rely on uptempo play and individual play makers to get things done. End of game big leads put Jones in a bit of a predicament. On the one hand he doesn't want to push the pace with a big lead and take shots early in the shot-clock. On the other-hand, LSU is usually beyond awful in getting good looks late in the shot-clock. We can bitch all we want, but it's just not their game.

Jones has to make a risk assessment:

1. Play the uptempo style we like thus giving us a better chance to get good looks, but not using up the shot clock.

or

2. Run the shot clock, but settle for bad possessions at the end.

To me, none of it matters as long as you can lock the opponent down on the defensive end. That's where wins are closed out. Still, you'd rather them start to move a bit earlier in the shot clock with the ball in Simmons's or Quarterman's hands.

I mean Quarterman was out with a minor injury... Hornsby hasn't been used late in games for some reason. Not sure why though. Simmons just looked either gassed or completely uninterested down the stretch, IDK which.

All i'm saying is the trend from last year of not playing smart down the stretch and giving up leads hasn't changed for this years team.

and this was not a good road win. Auburn isnt' good. They have no depth. There best player is a 6'7" center who is a basket case.. All they do is shoot 3's and hope they go in. That's the only chance they have at beating anyone worth a shite.

Imo we had one bad week of giving up leads this season(with our full team) last week. But don't forget we shut bama down, closed ole Miss and UK down. Along with Vandy and arky.

I don't think last night was terrible, they eased off then they caught theirselves.

Jesus dude. For real? Every win is a good win on the road. It is a good win because it was next on the schedule. Go root for the Warriors.

I bet Kentucky would have loved to have gotten a "bad road win" there.

This.

TQ's value to this team is (IMO) the difference between success and failure.

So every LSU win means that LSU played perfect and has no room for improvement?

Did you think maybe ben doesnt touch the ball late because he cant shoot free throws. If he got the ball they will foul him immediatly and then you would bitch how it is stupid to let ben handle the ball late.
There are better coaches but time for you to shut up.

Comments like this don't seem too constructive...

I know that. I'm not saying it's some easy win. But we were much better than them, and it would have been shocking if we lost. We were supposed to win, and we did.

The underlying issue is how stupid we play, and it's not just this game. We have issues. We won this game simply b/c we were a lot better than Auburn talent wise.

Sorry for not being happy just b/c we won, and paid no attention to anything other than the final score against a outmatched opponent.

We have low basketball IQ, and we are terrible out of timeouts. It didnt' cost us today. It did for about 5 of our 8 losses this year and many of them last year.

You were probably just happy we beat Arkansas and Georgia in football in 2011, and wasn't concerned about how horrible we were looking on offense, which culminated in an embarrassment we all remember.

I can buy into this, to a point. I still think it is an overreaction. I would rather focus on how they got the 21 point lead. To each their own.

Apart from Hornsby, Ben is the next guy i want shooting free throws on this team.
What makes you think he's not a good free throw shooter?
He was 16-19 against Vandy
14-16 against UF

Do you watch the games and come to conclusions yourself or you just listen to idiot announcers that don't konw what they are talking about?
