Lange, Poche, Bain at this pace. Latz very well could be but he hasn't done a thing yet. We are blessed pitching wise next year. Just have to hope a couple of guys stay and everyone else steps up. Replacing Bregman at short is going to be a tough transition for fans. He's been unbelievable defensively. Feel bad for Byrd or whoever takes the reigns from him because he may be judged unfairly.

All of this is interesting as far as it goes, but who will coach all of this talent? Last night about this time all of the coaching staff was being fired.

Bain makes this interesting.
Fri: Lange
Sat: Poche
Sun: Bain
Week: latz
Fri: Lange
Sat: Poche
Sun: Bain
Week: latz

And if Latz can get healthy and be the third guy... CHAMPIONSHIP
Godfrey has better stuff than Bain. If he can solve his control issues in summer leagues he'll be a strong candidate for a weekend slot.

Cole mckay and is is around the number 90 overall prospect on most sites so he will be offered around 1.5-2 mill (depending on if the team who drafts him) which he will likely not decline. he touches 96 on his fastball as a high schooler so it's safe to say someone will pick him in the top 2.

Having someone like Bain is key to going deep into the postseason.
He looks to me like rich man's Austin Ross, and AR helped us with the natty in 09. If his stuff looks anything like it did tonight during the postseason, we're looking pretty damn good.

Next Year*
Fri-Lange
Sat-Poche
Sun-Latz
Bain, Godfrey, Norman, Cartwright, Bugg, Reynolds, Newman, Strall among others
The pitching staff will favor most ballparks

Week: latz
If Latz is as half as good as advertised, there is no way we throw him during the week.

I think we will be fine, may. Not be as good as this year, but watch out in 2017 if this class stays healthy...awesome amount of talent leaving, but there is a lot of talent riding the pine this year...pitching will do nothing but get better...

If LSU has 4 pitchers capable of being dominant starters next year, they will not make one a mid week starter. Mid week is where you find guys that can contribute to SEC and post season. One of them would get moved into a relief role.
With that said, there are always one or two guys that regress from one season to the next. Cody Glenn peaked as a sophomore, so did Anthony Ranaudo. Matty Ott and Kurt McCune peaked as freshmen. Coming into this season, Bouman and Reynolds were considered guys that could step into the weekend rotation. I hope all of LSU's young pitchers improve next year but I won't be surprised when it doesn't happen. However, one thing I have come to expect is every year there are a few new faces that come in a blow everyone away.

You guys thing next year after a full year of experience the Lange/Bain combo can be as good as Gausman and Eades were a few years ago?
Yes, with caveat that it could well be Lange/Latz/Bain, not to mention Godfrey and Norman are both going to be great.
Latz can be as good as any lefty to ever pitch at LSU. He should be good to go by the fall. Think of Poche's stuff with about 3-4 MPH added.

The rotation will be nasty next season. We just need people to hit the ball.
True. However if past history is any indicator and it surely is, we can expect 2 or 3 of the JC guys to be real ballers next season, not to mention most of this year's TF hitters will likely take that big step up in ability next season. My guess now is that Fraley and Zardon will be joined in the everyday lineup by 3 or 4 of this years freshmen and 3 or 4 of next year's class which is heavy with JC guys. With the likely number one pitching team in the SEC, the Tigers will be able to grow into being a steady offensive team by the beginning of SEC play. Expect a top ten team once again.

Good points, however the thought of having a team without Bregman in the lineup is already taking its psychological toll on me.
Players like that don't come around that often...Gone to miss him.
