Look, yeah, I'm a big LSU fan, but I'm not saying the Saints should draft every LSU player. Not even talking about Jarvis Landry, Kwon Alexander, others.

Just Lael Collins. Baton Rouge is 60 miles to the north. Is it wrong to assume the Saints shouldn't be able to obtain inside info on the situation (Collins' legal issue that turned out to be nothing)?

No. We draft another Olineman who hasn't set the world on fire and who wasn't even projected to be a starter, and a backup QB in the 3rd round we didnt' need. Dumb

Can we put a moratorium on Lael threads?

At least for today?

Every team in the NFL passed on Collins.

It's pretty likely the now PR-sensitive NFL told teams to stay away from taking a potential murderer in the draft.

Tired of the assumption that the Saints had some kind of inside track to Collins. Saints have been a joke for majority of his life. The dude would have come here if he wanted to.

Kiss my arse, frickwad. Dumbest move the Saints have ever made, and they've made a lot over the years. Collins would have been a starter from Day One. Instead, we keep Tim "Garbage" Lelito and Chopsley Strief, and our first ballot hall of fame QB doesn't have time, and gets hurt.

But I'm SO glad we got a quality lineman from Stanford with our high first round draft pick, I'm sure he's a great influence in the locker room and does a mean crossword puzzle.

Dumber than the Ricky trade?

Yeah oline man from Stanford NEVER pan out. In fact, I can't think of one Stanford player who has ever accomplished anything in the NFL. Can you?

All I know is THIS guy sucks, so far, and wasn't even drafted to be a starter, like the Saints have the luxury of drafting a backup tackle, and backup QB, w/ valuable high round draft picks. HORRIBLE. Anthony and Kekaha were very good picks, Davison and Swann good picks. But the future is now, the clock is ticking, Brees ain't getting any younger.

I think they went really overboard with the "we will only draft so-called high quality character players" in the future. I don't know Jairius Byrd's character but he's a dud. The front office had laid multiple eggs. They had a guy they could have nabbed in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th round, and whiffed. Who gives a shite what Goodell says, esp. with the Saints' history w/ him?
