La'el is a great player, but he's an even greater person.

Dude was a great player for the Tigers. He was dominant at times.

He's always been a "yes sir" "no sir" kind of guy. Nice to see, I hope kids are smart enough to be watching and emulating him.

Good luck to him in his career.

He brought leadership to an often troubled offense. Thanks La'el and hope the Saints pick you first!
Although you'll probably already be gone. :(

Staying in school for his senior year was a wise choice. He was projected a second or third round pick at this time last year but improved immensely.

I hope some of our current guys are taking note of this. Big money difference from first round to third round. A lot of our guys that have left in recent years could've improved with another year. Hunter, Kwon, Mingo, Montgomery, Simon, Freak and Ego (got drafted higher than I thought) all come to mind...

The nasty one has spoken. Hope the Saints get a shot at drafting him.

Let him be proof that jumping to the NFL early for a little $ isnt always the best move for the long term.

He's an all-time LSU great IMO. Should be a productive starter in the NFL for a long time.

Mingo is the exception on this list. He went 6th overall in the draft.

Lael had a very mature and confident presence in dealing with the press. That will be an added bonus to his evaluation. He had quick responses and was articulate and knowledgeable about the game. He may have the making of a future coach with his ability to communicate the nuances of the game.
