I watched highlights of them and Purdue on YouTube, and I have to admit something. I rolled my eyes at Gary Redus’ comment about the preseason All American team, but I watched those highlights and immediately thought “hey, where da black women at?”

Yep. Just three assists short of a triple-double. And the way she’s dishing those passes from the top of the arc to Morrow down low, she’s bound to hit some T-Ds this season.

They don't call Rosario 'Big Baby' for nothing. Kim has commented multiple times this year that she wants Rosario to be aggressive, physical and mean. That isn't happening. She doesn't jump up for rebounds, she is usually flat footed. She will need a lot of one-on-one training.

I’m glad for her development thus far and as others have said, she’s gotten into much better shape.

But SEC play has shown she’s got a long way to go. She looked like a defensive force against non-conference weakies but she was mostly a turnstile tonight. People drove right by her down low. She has that deer in the headlights look like she’s intimidated. Hell, she’s the biggest and strongest player out there. You’d think being an intimidator would come naturally to her. Instead she’s the intimidated.

She shed a lot of weight since coming into LSU, that itself is a big win year one. She was always going to be someone who was gonna need until year 2.

If she can defend, alter shots and eat up some minutes in conference play, thats a win at this point, everything else is gravy.

Kent, Velez and Bartlett are gonna ride the bench the rest of the year. We don't have anyone else dependable or close to contributing off the bench beyond Poa and ADR at this point. Loss of Smith and Poole is massive, just because thats experienced quality players who can help provide some relief of our starters. Smith was really as good as a starter the way she played this year.

I do think Kim is going to approach next year roster building a bit differently than how she handled it this year

Just watched SEC Now. They showed LSU highlights and moved on. They are going deep on USC now. Nicki can’t say anything nice about LSU who paid for her really nice wardrobe.

1. There were more than 10K actual in the PMAC tonight.

2. Great turnout of students given classes do not start until next Tuesday.

3. A great D cannot stop us from scoring. We have 5 true offensive weapons.

4. Carolina's biggest advantage over us is that they have 10 players who can play. They are deep, very deep, and play topnotch defense.

5. Vandy is 3-0 in the SEC a mystery team to me. I have not seen them play.

I do agree on all that but I also think she needs to get some minutes in conference play because we will need her. We can't get away playing 6 players the rest of the year. I was almost glad Reese got two fouls towards the end of the second quarter so Kim had to put ADR in for a few minutes. Losing Smith earlier this year was such a huge blow.

You obviously dont go to the games. I sit front row. I see here setting screens, working hard down low every game on the offensive end. On D shes talking to her teammatates, moving her feet, getting rebounds.

Thus, you are totally clueless with your assessment of ADR

The PMAC was filthy tonight. Not sure what the last event was but the floor wasn’t mopped and clearly dirty and sticky. Before the game even started my kid went to the bathroom and there was shite smeared across the back of the toilet.

Your opinion, my opinion. Our family has attended couple games and watched/recorded every game this year. Against inferior non-conference opponents, Rosario was fine. Against FBS and SEC opponents, she is slow, not aggressive. She has improved since Day 1, but has a long way to go. Even Kim said in today's press conference and previous press conferences, she would like Rosario to play more aggressive, physical and not SOFT. Yes, our coach called Rosario SOFT several times. Kim said she would love for her to play like she is big 6'5" and mean. Her words not mine. Guess Kim knows Rosario more than we do.
Kim also complains, ticked off, that the bench players (including Rosario) give up too many points, but also said she has no choice but to substitute to give them experience. Kim said she will look at film on the bench players but will "stop giving them minutes." Poa has been the only bench player she has trusted and been pleased with. She said she would love to play 7th, 8th and 9th players, but won't hesitate to just play 6. She just sent a message to the bench players.

Fun fact, LSU recruited her but stopped after getting HVL. Should have taken both, would have been a giant game changer having both on the squad.

Sure would be nice in retrospect, but this was before we got dangerously thin. We were looking at a starting lineup of: Reese, Morrow, Williams, Johnson—and either HVL or Rogers.

And neither HVL nor Rogers was going to transfer to LSU to sit on the bench. I’m sure that when HVL signed the dotted line, that slammed the door on Rogers’s interest.

And even with our depth problems, we’d still have the same situation in the back court. Somebody out of Williams, Johnson, HVL, or Rogers would have to sit. And none of those four are going to sit. When we got HVL it was foreordained that Rogers was headed elsewhere. We could have gotten one or the other but not both.

Lady bb game vs Texas am by Jim bean xxx
I’m convinced lsu spurts are due to fatigue

Rosario is playing out of necessity, hopefully she can get to the point where she can give a solid 5-10 minutes a game. Same goes for Kent or Valez.
Playing basically six almost all game is not sustainable in my opinion.

Call me the optimist, but I highly overrated Angelica Velez, at least at this stage of her career. I thought she’d be a solid backup point guard by now contributing a solid 10-12 minutes a game. I was wrong.

I don’t want to be repetitive but it’s frustrating that Velez, Bartlett, and Kent have their asses parked on the bench and are contributing basically nothing.

Bartlett is 6-3 and built like Morrow. She’s a junior and was close to the top HS player in Texas. The fact she isn’t even a decent backup is unreal. If Fargas was still coach I’d say she may not be being coached up but we all know that’s not the case with Mulkey. I’m sure next year when Kim hits the portal hard and signs the full quota of scholarships, definitely Bartlett; maybe two of the three—or even all three—get their walking papers.

But that doesn’t help us this season. Sure we’ll go deep in the Dance. But Smith’s injury on that shitty-arse high school gym floor in the Caymans may cost us a repeat national championship.
