I know most will want to be negative and down vote this thread. I am very excited about the hiring of Canada and what he will bring to our offense next year, but lets not forget the job Steve Ensminger did in relief of Cam. He interjected life into the offense. The offense gained over 423 in every game except Bama (And yeah I know that's the most important game). Our backs ran for more than 275 yards three times and actually put points on the board. All this against 6 SEC teams (Five where ranked). Even against Florida (and it looked bad), we had 425 yards against a top notch defense, fumble inside the 5 yard line, missed hold on the field goal and the back went the wrong way on the last play, all the while missing out on 17 points. Again Recruits want to play under Canada and I prefer him over Steve Ensminger but he did a good job instilling life into our offense.

Why would anyone downvote this? Ensmingers offense finally made LSU football fun again for most of the season. He was great and should be at LSU until he wants to retire.

He caught a lot of flack for his role as the TE coach. Turns out, he may be one of the most capable coaches on staff. His stint as the OC should certainly rejuvenate his legacy.

Wonder where you would rank him among the individuals who both played and coached at LSU? Granted, that list isn't very long.

Without Ensminger's coaching performance, CEO wouldn't have the job... leading to a likely assumption an alternative head coach wouldn't have brought Canada here as well.

You get an upvote from me! We all need to show love to CSE! The guy took over the offense and kicked arse. He was the perfect interim OC and was happy to step down when CEO brought in CEO and will be a huge asset to the program going forward.

He did a phenomenal job, especially having to work with the Miles/Cameron offense in the middle of the season.

Yeah I'm not convinced of this. Alleva was hell bent on giving O this job.

Looking back a couple years from now we MIGHT be thanking him for saving the program. If the O under him (and CEO) had performed like Miles not only would there would have been even greater splits, but it could've destroyed recruiting for this year and for many years after that. Remember, as the 'bandwagon mentality' increases for fans, so does it for recruits; jumping on a bandwagon becomes more of a factor than playing time.

He's today's Jerry Stovall. Filling in on short notice and doing his best.

Difficult to understand who is a good coach under Miles supervision.
