But the nugget on Malone, a redshirt freshman offensive tackle and the son of NBA Hall-of-Famer Karl, is perhaps the most interesting.
Amid rumors that Malone could enter the starting lineup this weekend, here's what Miles had to say on the player.
"K.J. continues to improve, a very athletic guy and physical," explained Miles. "We have him working at some left tackle, but he’s going to be one of those guys that gets better and better. He’s a redshirt freshman, so he’s young, but we would not hesitate to play him in games. He’s really earned the right.”

I think Hawkins is injured, but not sure if it's more than that. I know he went out, but came back in the game against ULM. So his injury couldn't have been TOO bad.

Not all of what I heard. Just that he was taking second team snaps behind Hawkins. Unless they've posted something since this thread started...

A thread was started yesterday on the 247 board about going way past taking reps.

Hmmm, well just go with that then.

Did it talk about a visit to Miles office? If so, it's probably the same thing I heard.

Well there ya go.

FWIW, I heard it and considered it a "we'll find out Saturday night" thing. Miles talked up Herron like crazy prior to Wisconsin, then he didn't even play a snap.

You guys think is doing this to make Jerald Hawkins and the whole line work harder to show them that nothing is set in stone or because Hawkins has a lingering injury

I think Miles said Herron was all beast mode, then he didn't even get a snap against Wiscy. I think he said Jalen Collins was coming on strong, then we find out Robinson is suspended. (Collins IS playing very well though) I think he talked up Pocic, then we find out Porter is suspended.

It scares the bejeezus out of me that this is leaking out, and I wonder what the truth is.

See my sig, Miles is crazy like a fox.

to be honest as much as i would love to keep this guy i dont think it would hurt if he leaves us.
Just the opposite. Womack is exactly the kind of OL that Grimes has been talking about that he wants at LSU.

We honestly are concerned about the actively working mental processess of some of you Terran young ones that make comments on here.
