He has made some great plays and great runs in several games. It isn't like this is his first great game.

But the amount of hype he is getting from this 1 incredible game is insane.

shite, I'm actually getting nervous he wont live up to the hype. I mean, first overall in the draft for a RB? Thats a way bigger deal than winning the Heisman. I feel weird thinking that these national guys need to calm down and watch him play a few more times this year because usually im the one irrationally fantasizing about Fournettes abilities.

Oh glad i read the article now.

I highly doubt we see a RB go #1 overall ever again.

This, he'll probably be 1st round, but he is Adrian Peterson to the Vikings. Who is willing to forego a franchise QB or a dominate DE for a running back?

Kiper, along with every draft analyst and along with everyone who writes for ESPN along with every other media member has the sole purpose of getting the biggest audience whether that be clicks or viewers.

So LF is the hot topic... we get all these stories. Before the 2016 draft, his "number 1" will include players from 6 different SEC schools, ND, a PAC-12 school, and a BIG10 school just to make sure he gets all the big fan bases.

We don't want this. If he's the clear cut #1 after his sophomore year, he has no motivation to continue to play hurt, gut it out, risk injury. (See Clowney, J.)

FTR, if I were the guaranteed #1 pick after my sophomore year, I'd give the barest effort possible my junior year.

I'm a huge LF fan.

But it would be beyond stupid for any NFL team to take a RB with the first pick of the draft.

How fans don't understand this is beyond me. I don't like it and wish it weren't true but i've always felt this is the mindset of many juniors who are preparing to declare.

Fournette isn't a thug POS. He works very hard every day.

Obviously you didn't play football, because if you did, you would know that giving a minimal effort is the fastest way to get hurt.

If you want to hold that 1st spot, you play hard to avoid injury and ward off any others trying to take that spot.

Well it would have to make sense

But with a RB you know what you're getting for the most part. It would be a slam dunk draft pick. QBs are a much bigger risk. And he's the type of back you could build an offense around.

If I'm someone like Dallas with a great line, I'm doing whatever necessary to trade up to get Fournette.

If you thought he would have a career like Peterson, pretty much anyone.

Drafting a franchise QB is a gamble. There are a handful of #1 overall picks (and high first round picks) at QB in recent memory that haven't amounted to much.
