Incorrect. There may be some trade-specific contexts in which it is the case, but I would be absolutely shocked if you could find a single dictionary to back up your claim. Who drilled this definition into your head?

The program pretty much had high expectations to a particular level every season since 2001. The highest levels I can recall were '02- '07 and '10 through 13. Those years produced 4 West crowns, 3 SEC crowns and 2 national titles. In fact, you can make the case that the extremely high expectations nationally in 2007 from the beginning of the season were part of the reason the Tigers stayed close enough to the top to vault into the title picture even after two losses. If the team performs at a high level, then high expectations could give them a leg up with the voters and panels when all things seem equal. Here's to high expectations.
