I used to believe that Kiffin was kind of a joke after a few bad displays with his other programs. I think a lot of that was just pure immaturity and arrogance because he was so young. Now I believe he is being molded and taught by the best coach in our generation. I really wouldn't be opposed to LSU taking a look at once Miles eventually moves along. Shoot he may get offered the Bama job one day after Saban hits it.

As far as Cam being handcuffed by Miles maybe so but surely he hasn't earned what we are paying him and kinda ready for us to make a move in another direction there honestly.

Cameron has been around. Knows a lot more than Kiffen ever will, but Miles' handcuffs the frick out of Cameron. Cameron needs to grow balls and tell him this is the way to go. But instead he goes along with that we're a ground and pound team, in part because he does heave an inclination to love to run the ball also. Something that got his arse canned in Baltimore. Saban is more willing to let Kiffen play around with the offense until he fricks up then it's back to ground and pound, also.

Cameron's first season you saw what he was capable of with the passing and scoring. But Miles quickly reigned that shite back in towards the latter part of the season to become more ground first oriented. He didn't like the passing on first downs and more diversity offensively with the passing. He wanted that pound attack first.

he is running the offense that CLM wants. No way in hell he would have ever lasted in the NFL running this offense.

When it comes to having a creative, multidimensional, dynamic offense who is not better than Cam?

Ehhh. I wouldn't go that far. Where was Cameron at this stage in his life? Had he already been an NFL, Pac-12, and SEC head coach? Kiffin's dad is one of the better football minds of all time. He grew up in it. Kiffin's failures are directly tied to his once (maybe still) childish peronsality and ability to lead, not his football acumen

Kiffin would run the same offense Cam is if he were the OC for LSU.

There have been 5 OCs under Miles, right?

And

Cam Cameron makes $1.5 million a year

If we are going to take someone off of that staff as a replacement to Miles as a head coach I'd prefer it be Kirby Smart. He has been a big part of why they're successful there. And he might be able to retain Steele since they have coached together. That would definitely bring some continuity to the coaching change.

As far as an OC is concerned, I'd trust him to make a good decision there.

To top it off, there was no need to pay Cameron $1.5 million per year. There was no great competition for his services. This was a buddy deal.

Yep he is better than Cam, some of the routes they ran and some of the play calling I felt was on point, perfect timing.

"Dad, if you saw us lining up like this, how would you defend it"

His dad is a football legend with a brilliant football mind. Lane probably knew how to defend a screen pass before he could color between the lines. His problem is that his dad was also rich, so lane is a essentially a horny spoiled teenager that's used to getting his way, he knows football though.
