Does anyone think Clyde or D. Williams can break out for a TD? It seems that neither have that break away speed. I would like to see either Jackson and/or Vincent back there. Thoughts?

it makes no sense to me. fielding a punt is more of a skill. on a kickoff, give me the guy that will be gone with the tiniest crease/missed tackle. neither of these guys is a threat imo.

Ok, I agree 100%. Especially when your team clearly needs some sort of spark. Why not take a chance with one of those guys?

LSU special teams is a joke atm. So I'm not much surprised at all we can't make it past the 20 on kick returns.

I never liked the idea of not having a designated special teams coach.

Even without a special teams coach, someone watching the film has to notice the "lack of a threat " to break off a big one from these two. You can't fix line depth immediately but you can fix this. Just frustrating.

I have heard so many great things about CEH, but honestly he doesn't look that fast or strong to me. It's almost like he's looking for someone to run into on kickoffs. The way people were gushing about him, I expected something different from what I see out there now.

Of all the things people were bitching about, this is the one that stood out to me. Almost started same thread.
CEH looks very slow and hesitant to hit the wedge gap. Agree i'd like to see someone else get a shot

I'm with you here Williams being there makes no sense and Jackson has proven to be an electric breakaway threat. He needs to be on kickoff return for sure.

Lol. Even though he has demonstrated in games and practices that he has ball security issues. Yes...makes sense because he fast mane.

We never seem to put people in the right places on special teams. Jackson should be fielding punts and Kickoffs. CEH is too slow.

Darrell & Clyde do not belong on KO returns. You're right, put some speed back there.

Let's sit Guice and never put him back in whenever he fumbles again.

I agree. Why not at least put someone back there that can provide a spark while getting your shite pushed in?

Wouldn't mind Kary Vincent or Jacoby Stevens getting a shot.

Even Trindon Holiday the fastest player in LSU football history couldn't break for a TD ever time and Clyde is not slow at all lol

I thought Dillon and Davis were supposed to handle kickoffs. Dillon looks very explosive.....If we had a qb or an offensive philosophy to work the slot......he could be deadly.

CEH will surprise these nitwits, and very soon. He just has to settle in. The first job is not to turn it over. The second is to get comfortable where it becomes natural. He at that stage now. Once he is comfortable, he will explode. I believe he probably will get his legs under him real soon. Maybe even the next game.
