1. Open the playbook early. Let him throw deep and stretch the field. This makes the opponent's secondary respect the deep ball and the coverage on underneath routes will be softer, allowing Lee more space to throw short. This will lower the chances of a confidence-smashing pick 6.

2. Work on his pocket presence this week at practice. As he holds the ball, he tends to drift in the pocket; therefore, he cuts the field in half and gives opponents a jump on his throws. Even if he stares down receivers from the center of the pocket, the defenders still have a longer break to make on the ball.

3. Bench Byrd. His effort is pathetic and only hinders the success of the team. If Miles can get in his ear, then he can be a huge weapon.

4. Kick all of the NegaTiger boobirds out of the stadium. Lee's confidence needs to build on that second half from yesterday. Once he starts playing great, they can come back in the stadium and Lee can stand at midfield and all of them.

5. Utilize Tolliver. The guy plays hard and is a great guy to help Lee grow.

Receivers.... Catch passes that hit you in the hands. Especially those that would go for TD's

Thank you Mr. Lee. I am sure your son will listen to your advise but I am not sure Miles will.

Good try. You can leave the stadium too.

It was just out of reach of byrd just like the one to tolliver. Byrd was as fired up as anyone when the team started to make plays.

Go watch the replay. Bird eased up. Hard to believe he runs a 4.3 and couldn't catch up to that. Tolliver's play was different. He was going balls-out to make that play and just couldn't.

Tolliver's effort > Byrd's effort

The Key to Jarrett Lee's success will be if he can ever learn to have more than ONE option with any given play. If he keeps going to the line of scrimmage with only ONE receiver in mind and only ONE receiver that he will think about throwing to..then he will NEVER EVER EVER improve...EVER. That is it in a nutshell.

He will learn. Anybody who has ever played quarterback knows that it doesn't come overnight. Don't give me the "he's had ten weeks bullsh*t." He'll get better. It takes time. Quarterbacks grow over years, not weeks.

I agree...he is still young. However his only problem in HS was locking on to one receiver...all the way until he graduated. You can get away with it alot more in HS. Someone needs to go through some better progression drills with him..or something. But yes..he certainly has time to improve....and he has all the talent in the world as far as throwing the footblall.

TigerGold4: Wrong

A good player would have shown some improvement by now. This is the end of the season and he continues to make the same mistakes over-and-over. He continues his stretch of INTs for TDs. He overthrows his WRs when a great pass results in a TD. I am not saying that he can't or will not be good. He is simply playing terrible this year.

keys to success show up to practice on monday and apologize to everyone...then turn in your pads cause you will never see the field after this season anyway. he reminds me of my little sister when he stands in the pocket. he might as well just play for the other team!!

You saved that little gem for your first post ever?

If there was a dumbest first post ever award...you would definately be in the running.

1. Throw deep eary and often? Not a bad idea. It might prevent short interception returns for TD's, and it will keep the running backs rested.
2. Another good idea. Make all the defenders play way off the LSU receivers. Taking longer to make his throw will give the receivers longer to break open. Staring down a receiver will let him know that the ball is coming his way and he can get ready to catch it. Now if we can just get those pesky defensive line men to hold up their pass rush.
3. Benching Byrd is a huge idea. Bench every else on the first team. That will get their attention. Then after that if they shae up, maybe, just maybe let them into the game. But only for mop-up duty.
4.This may be the greatst idea of the post. Make every body entering the stadium take a lie detector test. If they test positive for booing take away their ticket and send them to a holding cell in the PMAC. Then after Lee has built up this huge lead against Ole Miss, make the boobirds come back and stand on the field as Lee gives them the . I suggest he also them but that is negotiatable.
5. Lee should throw to Tolliver, deep, on every play. He plays hard and it will teach Byrd a lesson. good move on that one.

Good post. Please give us more.
Now I know why you are an X-BOX legend.

Yeah he sucks. He only lead his team to 5 TD's in the last 18 minutes of the game to win. Yeah he sucks.
People who booed the kid suck.

Agree with that. But it seemed that the loudest boo's were coming from the student section. What's up with that?

1. Take a dump on the playbook because he can't run any of them to begin with.

2. The only pocket he is going to be working on is that pocket P***y he bought across the river at the Adult Superstore

3. Give Byrd a raise. Hell promote him to QB if you want to. He has every right to be pissed off.

4. Move all the booers closer to the field. Apparently Les can't hear them or he'd know that his job is on the line. By the time Lee starts playing great, he'll need a walker to get to the middle of the field and will not be able to hear the fans because he's so old.

5. Tolliver is a good player however, viagra couldn't make Lee grow.

1) Time
2) Call plays to his strength..
deep / outs, deep more often
3) Minimize the qty of reads in the middle type of plays
(play selection)

I admit that his play has been sub-par this year, but what is wrong in my post. Nowhere did I say that he had been playing great. I simply listed things that would lead to success.

Also, the adjustment doesn't come overnight, and every player is different; but the fact is that looking off defenders is not an easy adjustment to make especially as a freshman.
