Kentucky pitching to Deichmann

Seems Kentucky is content to walk Deichmann and see if LSU can beat them with other bats. Deichmann's bat has sparked some runs/rallies this year for us.

In game 1 he had 5 plate appearances with a leadoff double, leadoff home run, and 3 walks.

Hopefully we can find someone to protect him so teams can't continue to pitch around him.

Romero failed big time. Maybe try Coomes?

Romero will come around. He hits better when he plays. But I think Lange will only throw to Paps.

Honestly, I'm surprised it's taken this long for a team to completely avoid him when possible.

If I were coaching against LSU I'd walk him every at-bat unless the game was well in hand.

Romero looked lost on some of his at bats. I would say Smith or Coomes are probably the best options to me.

Oh I 100% agree. After his double to help us tie the game he didn't really see many hittable pitches till Kentucky led 12-4 I believe. Then he hits a homer.

I'm sure you'll see more of this in Game 2 and Game 3.. Don't remember what pitcher UK faced last week when Harris hit 3 homers in a game. Doubt they want to see that type of game again. Pretty sure it was the Saturday game.

Deichman needs to be third.
Kramer needs to be out of the top of the lineup. He had one good at bat today, and swung at some garbage in the rest. He is NOT a leadoff hitter.
Smith or Coomes behind Deichman?
Not quite ready to remove Romero completely, but move him down.

For the first time ever, cpm does what I suggested.

I fear of getting this thread off topic, BUT how any team pitches to Deichmann is my last concern. We no longer have a solid second pitcher in SEC play. Unless you count Walker as that pitcher. Our SEC ERA is a huge concern.

Maybe I'm PM and was seeing what TD suggested.

He was playing when he hit into our last DP. This is such a BS thing the Romero Fan Club uses as a crutch.
