For the first time since Minter, we're starting to look like men in the middle of the Defense. Even people outside of LSU are starting to take notice of how special he has a chance.

Here's to his continued growth and production in the middle and bringing our toughness and badazz attitude back along with Jamal Adams.

Godchaux, Beckwith and Adams are going to make LSU's defense very tough up the middle in 2015.

We have two DEs to replace next year. I'll bet Lewis Neal moves back to DE and is a killer next year. Tashawn Bower already looks good. Deondre Clark, Tehuma and Patterson will provide depth.

Kwon, Mills and Collins will be leaving, but we have an embarrassment of riches there.

The 2015 defense will be 2011 level.

God I wish he would stay for his sr year. It would be sick to have beckwith and kwon playing next to eachother again after another year to develop.

with the defensive line finding their way (just like the O line seems to be) it's the perfect time for beckwith to become the rock in the middle. kwon is holding shite down like always and the front 7 coming together is just what this defense needs.

i'm sure this has been mentioned on the board but i was so impressed how chief sent guys after the QB in the waning moments instead of playing back. it was beautiful and totally shook up Bo. even that 4th down pass they converted was more a credit to wallace & the wr for making it happen than the defense that was called.

They will be back crazy to leave after there junior year those three have to improve there draft stock. They will get more pub next year on a dominate defense.

Amazing the difference a good MLB makes for a defense. Sad Miles/Chavis allowed someone clearly not good enough for the job to start for so long.

Anyone with eyes and a brain knew Welter was not good/physical enough, the pitch dive and short side option are terrible plays...fortunately we have continued to recruit great talent.

Oh and the above .500 when trailing in the fourth quarter is not a good stat for us. We were the higher ranked team in over 20 of those games - we should not have been trailing in the fourth in so many of those games and generally an average of ~5 times a year with our talent.

I too am shocked that playing an elite athlete and giving him experience allows him to learn and progress.

Addition by subtraction. Mills is solid, but nothing special. He's the 5th corner on the roster and the 4th safety, as far as talent IMO.

Crazy to think the he's grading out as a 2nd or 3rd round pick on some boards. The talent in the secondary is downright nasty.

Last night the SEC Network gurus singled out the play of Beckwith as the biggest reason for the vast improvement of the LSU D. Chizik and Stinchcomb in particular were gushing over Kendell.

Cmon man. Chief was waiting on beckwith to learn the position by watching welter get all the practice reps.

:bang head:

The life of an LSU fan with Miles as our coach...Beckwith is an absolute sledgehammer. Playing Welter for so long is almost as bad as playing JJ for 3 years.
