Every time he has played he has performed!! He didn’t finish last season due to injury not because he wasn’t committed

Does he stay the entire year? He seems to fit the bill of “preparing for draft” bs

Good lord you people are so misinformed it’s unreal. How can you not understand that this was the primary reason O was canned? ROSTER MISMANAGEMENT. no one wanted to play for him. He lost the locker room with his off the field antics and it dominoed.

Agree or disagree with personal beliefs but going on Fox News was a nail in the coffin. You’ll never see Saban or other greats do that. Stay in your lane and support your guys. I don’t blame the kids for quitting on him. He didn’t deserve respect for the way he acted. 100% support opting out in this case.

You have nothing but rumors to base this on. Of course he wants to get paid. Everyone else got paid, why shouldn't the #1 WR in college football be paid too?? Stupid.

Billy at On3 confirmed Boutte was “most likely” headed to Bama if not for Gordon stepping in twice. I hope the kid goes crazy this year but that just rubs me the wrong way.

Cuz we don’t like the number thing? Yeah, we’re really wallowing in torment about it.

The more i look at his highlights, the more he reminds me of Chase. Should have a monster year.

I’ve seen one post genuinely bashing the kid, and that poster has been correctly put in their place. Anything else negative seems to just be about the number 7. It seems like you really WANT there to be anger, but there’s a supply shortage.

If the players like it, get over it.

If other people don’t, get over it.

If the players like something it doesn’t mean everyone else has to.

This was not a decision by the players.
The award of the 18 jersey is from the players.
I don't know, but strongly suspect that the No. 7 jersey issue was part of the negotiation when Boutee was threatening to transfer to Bama.
Boutee is a very good player, but all this is transactional with him.

You’re suggesting Boutte was out the door unless they let him wear the number he wanted?

Just so I’m clear on what you’re actually suggesting, nitwit.

who was the last player to wear it who did not get injured, opt-out or have a letdown season? Patrick Peterson? its been so long I've forgot
the 7 and 18 thing have run their course. I truly don't care one bit about it anymore.

7 died for me with Jonathan Giles.

Nothing’s ruined. It was stupid to begin with.
