This is a blessing in disguise
He’s the best receiver on the roster. Dude had so much talent yet it was wasted on a poor QB. Stop trying to make chicken salad out of chicken shite. This is on BK and him bringing in a QB that isn’t going to take advantage of the best skill set Louisiana has to offer. He ain’t at ND anymore and he needs to realize that. Get a QB who can get WRs involved.

BK cleaning up the program slowly. Getting rid of cancers one player at a time good riddance this will let a younger more hungry player shine

“After confirmation of JD5’s return and discussing its implications with my coaching staff, I’ve decided to pass on a second season of squandered opportunity for the most talented receiving corps in the nation.”

Good riddance. What a strange career he had at LSU.

Our program remains dysfunctional. It's not that he declared for the NFL draft, rather it is the chaotic manner he did so.

More like we are shedding dysfunctional Orgeron holdovers.

Good riddance to Boutte.

Don’t blame him. The writing was on the wall with Daniels coming back.

Can’t follow team rules. Gets suspended and declares for the draft. Won’t be a first rounder due to attitude.

Boutte wasn't a good fit for Kelly's offense. It showed this season. He'll be fine in the NFL

him dropping passes left and right didn’t help either.

All you can do is laugh at this point. Not going to judge the kid, he’s got a baby now and needs to provide for his family. It’s sucks but honestly it’s probably best for both sides that he is gone.

He's already got a huge head start on the Antonio Brown path.

Maybe Bech should have waited. Boutte has done everything possible to alienate the fan base. Good luck to him but he has terrible guidance

The program will improve with Boutte leaving. He was one of the few remaining pieces that needed to go.

Best of luck to him. This move is probably best for everyone.

Shitty attitude and work ethic can ruin the best talent. If you really think any other QB on this roster gets us the season we just had, you are delusional. Maybe if Boutte had been about the team and put in the work to build that QB/WR relationship, and THEN made the catches on opportunities he was given, his season would have been better.100% on him. Personal accountability goes a long ways in a TEAM sport for it to be successful. Good riddance.

Why even do the “I’m coming back” routine then? Couldn’t he have just waited until now to make the NFL announcement?

All of this drama for a guy that would be the #4 WR (at best) on the Saints this year.

No need to shite on him. It’s done. I don’t know his reasons but it’s his talent, his work, and his decision, so I’m not judging, even though it seemed like it was tough to get him to fullly buy in. I wish him the best. Don’t think we should be hating on guys that played for the Tigers.
