We know he had struggles in the slot which he improved on as the year progressed. As the returning Senior CB, do you see him playing the outside? You could argue that'd be his strength, seeing how he has such elite speed. Who knows how good he could be there.

Obviously very excited to see how camp turns out with so much talent coming in. Here's hoping Ricks can contribute early on.

nickel

Stingley has one CB on lock down
Flott is probably next one up to replace Fulton
Ricks could be the 3rd corner

Has Flott shown a lot on the outside? It just seems kind of surprising that the senior CB wouldn't get the CB1 if he wanted it. O is generally good to his seniors that way

Think he ends up staying at nickel and in some situations he could play safety.

Just because you are a senior doesn't mean you deserve to play over a more talented player and underclassman. At this level, it's about winning and playing the most talented player at every position.

Wasn't saying that Seniors deserve more, but you can't deny that many coaches value Seniority.

He'll play a lot of safety.

KV is going to continue to man the nickel spot and start as the 3rd corner... gotta remember it’s rare to play base 3-4... Most defense’s base is nickel anyway. KV got better as the year went on and I don’t see any position change for him in particular. Sting will man one outside spot with Ricks/Flott battling for the other outside spot

Don’t see it with Flott. Didn’t impress at all. Dude will end up getting processed imo

That's assuming we even stay 3-4. Who knows what contraption our new DC will create.

I liked him in the slot. He didn’t look like he was struggling to me.

seems like he was playing centerfield a pretty good bit later in the season so delpit could come up. IM thinking he gets a look solely at FS.

Nickle/Safety
His sideline to sideline speed may put him at full time safety

How often have we had senior cbs lately? Seems to me he's got what the pros look for in defending the slot

Good take. Could account for the potential hole at Safety.
