Tell that to...
Jalen Mills (7th round pick)
Russell Gage (6th round pick)
Danielle Hunter (Late 3rd round pick)
La’el Collins (Undrafted due to an unfortunate situation)
Davon Godchaux (5th round pick)
Darrell Williams (Undrafted)
Trai Turner (Late 3rd Round)

All guys that have made very good careers for themselves after being overlooked under drafted and Undrafted in some cases.

Meanwhile guys like Mo Claiborne (1st round), Jalen Collins (2nd round), Sam Montgomery (3rd round), Kendell Beckwith (3rd round), Keke Mingo (1st round) are all guy who either are now out of the league or didn’t live up to expectations and have bounced around from team to team just hanging on for whatever reasons.

It’s about what you do once you get there. Yea being a first or 2nd day pick is nice but if you don’t perform then it will be short lived. Kary was a good Tiger helped win a national championship. And was our lead player recruiter for the 2017 class and K’Lavon and Jacoby both have said before he played a role in convincing them to come to LSU. I wish him nothing but the best and think he’ll have a long successful NFL career as should everybody else.

and guess what? It didn’t matter he got his chance after all that balled out and got his money. If you’re good enough it’ll show.

How do you know he improves his stock?

Dave aranda sort of hid him in 2019.

Dave would stick him on the 3rd receiver and that was pretty much his only responsibility.

He might've gone a round higher. He was always going to be a 6th or 7th rounder.

My point is it's stupid to include him in with people that were overlooked based on initial talent evaluation. No one doubted his abilities.

Love Mo he’s one of my favorite LSU players ever he was a bust of a 1st round pick. That’s fine he still made plenty of money and his family is set up. He didn’t live up to expectations though

It’s a double-edged sword. Yes he should have stayed but Pelini cost Stevens a couple of rounds

Who was that argued on here that sitting out wouldn’t hurt KV’s stock and we still at least a mid second round pick no matter what.

I bet that guy has a lot to say right about now.

Lining Vincent up at CB may have actually hurt his draft stock. Aranda used him properly and he excelled. Not sure he hurt his draft stock at all opting out. Good luck to him

Always exceptions to any rule. But to sit here and say a 7th round pick is going to get the same opportunity as a first or second round pick is stupidity.

Beckwith was injured in a car accident. Bad choice for your example of “underachieving” players.

Also Mo Claiborne had a 7 year NFL career. That’s usually considered pretty damn good.

Exactly. Aranda hid him.

So you are basically saying Vincent is an awful CB and a fraud. If that’s the case, he won’t last very long in NFL. Sounds like you are arguing he should have stayed longer and actually developed as a corner.

For a first round pick he didn’t live up to expectations that’s just a fact.

What an idiot. He could have improved his stock this last season.

Or he could’ve tanked it even worse after getting “coached up” by dumbass Pelini.
