Dropped by the baseball game yesterday since it was on the way home, and I'm expecting a few local LSU fans to be there, since it's a game 3 of a series we've already won against Tennessee's crappy team. Once there, it's almost half the crowd are tigers; a lot from Louisiana too! I'm proud of my fellow tigers.

This week really showed off LSU baseball's fans... We outdrew Notre Dame at their home field, on a week day! Then had a great turnout in Knoxville. Really impressive.

We were listening to the first UT game on the radio. Lange had two strikes on a batter. He threw his pitch and the crowd went crazy. I was thinking damn guy hit a home run from the crowd reaction. Then the announcer calls strikeout!
We were like wow what an LSU crowd.

It's really something after all these years since the 90's, the following on the road. Same thing on the radio I was thinking.

I was there and was very proud of the way Tiger fans represented LSU. I estimated about 300 LSU fans in attendance during the first game of the double header out of about 500 total attendance.

Yet when I checked on the TD in-game thread on my phone, the very first post I saw was by a poster sitting at home criticizing an LSU fan who was there at the game.

I don't understand the mentality of a knucklehead who needs to criticize a fan who is supporting the team in order to make himself feel better about his own life.

I was there for all 3 (semi-local, only games I've been to all year), and had that same reaction on Friday. I thought there might be a few that came from South Bend along with some locals, but I certainly wasn't expecting the crowd split to be nearly 50-50. Impressive turnout.

All on a "down year," too.

Then you stayed on your phone the whole game. Good thing you were there.

I made the games in South Bend and Knoxville. Fans of both teams were amazed at LSU following. Was asked several times if we had a son on the team, which infers that only their parents travel.

By the way, ND campus exceeded expectations. Construction in Knoxville (Cumberland Ave) makes it look like a dump. Restaurants (Canes, Panda Express) and bars are closed for summer.

Agreed. Really fun to watch. The only draw I thought was poor was at Ole Miss this year...I think the Thursday-Friday-Saturday morning really hurt working folks. Besides that, LSU stands tall!

Canes and Panda Express are the restaurants you visited?

I was probably asked that question 6 times in South Bend.

And you obviously know you were the loser in the game thread who was ragging on fans who were at the ND games. It's almost like you're jealous or something....

The K Lady is more than one fan? She's a big gal but she's only one person. I would expect you to be more sensitive about that.

No, they're directly across street from our hotel. Ate at Gus', Oscar's and Market Square.
