This. One mid-week game early in the year means very little. Props to ULL, they played very well through 5 innings, but LSU has much more to look ahead to. I do think ULL makes a super regional this year, if they can play like that for majority of the year. Good on them.

Let's just be honest here, LSU hasn't played anyone with half a nut yet until UL came in there. We didn't just win a half game, we were the better team for the amount of innings played. It was clear as day. The Cajuns played better in defense, pitching, and hitting. It's not our fault the game got called because of weather in the 6th, and it's not our fault LSU couldn't muster any more than 1 run over the same amount of innings the Cajuns had.

I would've much rathered play a full 9 so we wouldn't have to hear these lame arse excuses from LSU fans.

In the end, it's a midweek game just like everyone else is saying... we've got a bigger test with a 3 game series with Bama this weekend at home. But I'm sure if we win that series or even sweep, LSU fans will just say Bama sucks and we were lucky. It is what it is...
