Just for fun, let's compare LSU to a program we were once on par with...

Not to turn this into a bama-ceased pissing contest but we were in fact equal to them going into the 2011 natty. So let's see how things progressed post-seasonwise from there...

Year bama LSU
2011 natty natty
2012 natty peach
2013 sugar outback
2014 playoff music city
2015 playoff tax slayer/Indy/?

And some LSU fans and our administration are fine with that. Shame

How much of your income are you willing to spare in order to close this gap?

... and how much of a difference will it make?

Who is going to come in and dethrone Bama? Name a coach/team that stacks up to Bama since they started rolling in 2008?

We have NOT been in Bama's league since 2008. We have been close several years, with 2011 being the closest.

While I would obviously be ecstatic with an equal list for LSU, just a peppering of some of their results would make me happy. I don't need to win everything every year. Just want to be competitive at the highest level. Something we have not been in 4 seasons.

How about comparing LSU to any team except Bama?

I can. But why? Why not compare ourselves to the pinnacle?

That's the problem. They can't. This site is Bama-sessed.

Bama whipped us this year, giving film on how to do it. Combine that with a team that just had their goals ripped from them (SEC and playoffs) and you can get what happened.

I'm not arguing for the Miles offense. It's been clear that Miles only trusts a superstar QB. Otherwise, it's 3 yards and a cloud of dust. That works great until it doesn't.

Well, we had a couple of candidates that could.

I doubt it, but I was ok with Jimbo if Miles was being shown the door.

Ok close Burger King. Lay off everyone at Chevrolet and fire every NFL coach besides Belichick. Then I can play along because onviously you're serious about win it all or fire everyone each year.

Are you people scared? Scared to compare ourselves to the best and strive for that? It's called setting the bar high. If we miss we still tried and we'll have pretty good results. Something we can be proud of.

Y'all want to set the bar at pretty good. Which is fine if we hit that yearly. But if we miss we land here. 3 straight blow outs, undisciplined play, laughable bowl games, "not much needs to be changed with the offense", no hope in sight.

That is where we are. And that is what y'all are fine with.

Exactly! In 2007 we were "on par" with USC. What exactly have they done lately.

Scared? Of football stats?

LOLOLOLOL

This is funny.

Again, I'll ask, how much of your income are you willing to spare in order to close this gap?

If you want the #1 class every year, it costs a lot more money than what LSU is paying now.

The list goes on and on and on.

There's a lot of work to do. You have the time and money?

Uh, the nfl fires coaches yearly for not competing. You think those companies owners (shareholders) accept mediocre results? No, the run off management hat doesn't produce after 4 years of downward trends. And what do we do: here's an extension and a raise.

Too bad. Les is LSU's coach. Learn to love it.

Then let's pay for what we are getting now, not what we used to get. Let's consistently beat Arkansas, Ole Miss, Auburn...top 10 paid coach, highest paid staff, poor ROI.
