Hmmm, you didn't post this at 4-3 in the 8th on the road against the top team in the country? You waited. Waited until the margin was bigger. How brave.

I agree, but if we drop the first three series in a row it damn sure isn't a good sign of things to come. Luckily this is baseball we're talking about. We could turn on the jets come May and go back to back. Just doesn't look all that hopeful. We're basically relying on 3 hitters for offense.

We do need better at bats, but I think they can get to .500.

Tonight’s game is on Johnson. He may have been trying to prepare the team for what is to come this season, but he did have an opportunity to win this game.

Anyone who can read a calendar should’ve known these first 4 weeks were going to be brutal. I’m not giving up hope for us winning this series but I wouldn’t be surprised to see us lose the first 4 weekends and then not lose another one the rest of the year.

I think some of you are underestimating just how good the opposition has been and how valuable this is going to be down the road.

Do I think we’re a sure fire Omaha team? I do not.

Do I think that we’re going to be a team that no one wants to play in May or June? Absolutely.

But he didn’t get the offense. What would you have done differently?

and this should be completely ok to say here, yet there will be some who take this statement to mean something way more than this, and go to the enth degree with it, in some stupid arse fight for superfandom or some shite

but it's completely rational (and correct) to say this about the club this season... we just ain't that team this year... and that's ok, we'll be back next season, in all likelihood...

Just a middle of the road team for sure. I’m on record of us getting no higher than .5000 in conference. Bottom of order is pathetic.

The players that won Omaha last June are not going to be in the dugout tomorrow. We had experience and talent and now we are looking for leadership and SEC experience right now.

This isn’t the MLB where you can sign FA with an unlimited payroll and stay relevant for 6-8 straight seasons.
This is a rebuild season but if it gets you to Omaha once every three seasons, then it is worth it. No one in college baseball is winning two or three straight NC’s. I don’t see this particular team winning big this season. Jay will build back this program over the next two seasons.

Why don't Tennessee and Arkansas have to rebuild?
