Orgeron knows you have to recruit these guys like they’ll only be here for 3 years. Getting them for four years is just a bonus.

Toliver still a liability at times and should definitely come back. Jackson has just started refining his skills and learning how to catch the ball. These two will benefit the most by coming back.

I think guice and key should be the only ones to leave

Jackson sucks and will be a special teams gunner at best.

i mean he has his faults, but he is competent in coverage and has NFL make-up speed. He's a top 50 pick if he chooses to leave. He has a great canvas to work with, as he was very very poorly coached in HS and has only really been a fulltime DB for 3 seasons. His best play is ahead of him

Toliver is a really above average boundary corner. Prototypical NFL size, arm length, and speed. He is a good, not great tackler too. He is a top 2 round pick

Jackson and Toliver both have the chance to be pretty high draft picks. The problem here is that people think if a WR catches a pass on one of them that they totally suck.

If they can limit the early entries to just Key and Guice, then 2018 could be a special year

Chances are thats not going to happen. We will be OK at CB with one or two early entries. Returning offensive line guys is the key. If we lose one or two, hopefully we can get a few juco guys in that can step in day one and add depth.

Guice and Key are first rd picks. They gone. Key is a top 15 pick once all the combine work is done. Guice will be a late first rounder, although there's a pretty solid RB class this year.

Donte Jackson is gone. He's really played well in the past month, and will destroy the combine and pro day. He'll be at worst an early 3.

Barring a shocker, I can't see any early entries from the Offensive Line. Some say Weathersby may leave out of pure need for the money, who knows if that will make his decision.

Kevin Tolliver should not leave. Sure, he'll get drafted if he left early, but he has a great chance to be a top 2 round pick if he comes back. He's got the prototypical NFL corner body. But the fact is, he has been a disappointment thus far. Had a great freshman year, we all thought he would be all SEC in 2016. Then he absolutely disappeared until a month ago. I think he's a 4-7th rd pick if he leaves early. Maybe that's enough for him, but there's just not enough in game action for a team to spend a top 100 pick on him IMO.

LSU will be lucky if they only lose four. I'm hoping for three.

Tolliver AND Jackson are NOT as good as White was his Jr year. Both show glimpses but are not consistent. Toliver tends to lose some of the good receivers, and Jackson has poor hands, How many easy Int's has he dropped this season? Jackson will also make one play in the running game, then whiff on the next. Both could be mid-late 1st rd picks, like White, if they came back for their Sr seasons.

I think Brennan could be very special.. next year really could be the year, I think Oregeron should really hammer that home. We all know the big boys will move on but keep the DBs and OLine

Brennan won't even be starting next season. That would be Narcisse who is a much better athlete and who also has a stronger arm than Brennan.

I doubt it. Teams with first year quarterbacks rarely have special seasons.

Yeah they both have good junior film for scouts to look at, especially Donte. Raymond and Aranda have been moving him around this year from nickel to safety.

This is from WalterFootball written yesterday

Listing of the top cornerbacks for the 2018 NFL draft

Donte Jackson*, CB, LSU
Height: 5-11. Weight: 175.
Projected 40 Time: 4.45.
Projected Round (2018): 2-3.

11/11/17: Kevin Toliver II was the more-hyped cornerback entering this season, but Jackson has been the better player this season. He doesn't have Toliver's size, and that makes Jackson more of a nickelback in the NFL. Jackson is extremely fast, however, so he will be a good corner to lineup against smaller speed receivers. He is athletic to run the route and prevent separation, but he is a gambler, so he could stand to play with more discipline for the pros. Scouts tell me that Jackson is talented, but has a ton of discipline issues to work on, and that might include some hard lessons versus pro receivers.

Jackson has 31 tackles with seven passes broken up in 2017. As a sophomore, he totaled 39 tackles with eight breakups and two interceptions. Jackson notched an interception, 26 tackles and two breakups in his freshman year.

--------------------------------------------------------

Kevin Toliver II*, CB, LSU
Height: 6-2. Weight: 193.
Projected 40 Time: 4.54.
Projected Round (2018): 2-4.

11/11/17: Toliver has 24 tackles with two passes broken up and an interception this season. In speaking with scouts at multiple teams, Toliver is a bit of a love-hate prospect. Some sources are very down on him as they say he has first-round talent, but that he doesn't play up it or work to maximize his ability. Toliver gives up too much separation on a consistent basis. They are critical over his lack of instincts as well. Others like him and feel that he is being played out of position. They say that he is a press-man corner and that LSU is putting him in off-man coverage way too much.

Toliver was held out for Week 1, but LSU wouldn't clarify if it was because of suspension or injury. It sounds like it is more likely to be the former. With how Toliver is playing, he is likely to be a second-day pick or a mid-rounder rather.

9/1/17: Toliver impressed as a freshman and sophomore. Considering the amount of talent the Tigers' secondary has produced, it is a serious statement that he played immediately at LSU. In 2015, Toliver had 35 tackles with five breakups and an interception. As a sophomore, he totaled 21 tackles with one breakup across seven games.

The 6-foot-2, 193-pounder is a big corner who can run. Team sources have said Toliver has a first-round skill set.

Guice, Key and maybe Jackson are the only ones that will be drafted in the early rounds. The others could make a lot more money by coming back, especially Weathersby. Hope O can convince them delayed gratification is the best course

Am i missing something why are people saying Donte and Kevin are gone did they come out and say this or it’s just assumptions?
Kevin has received a lot of positive praise from draft gurus, mostly bc of his size and potential. They must not watch any of his tape. He's just bad. It's like he doesn't have any interest in fundamentals and has very little instincts. On top of all that, he frequently shies away from contact on open field tackles, though he has proven very capable bc of his strength.
