So we gave a guy that we recruited as a 5* QB who never threw a pass in college and a guy we recruited as a safety throwing passes in the NFL?

Pretty sure that Gage was a QB in high school. Not sure why you're comparing the two. Russell Gage is just a badass football player. Plus Shep made a career from playing special teams, lets say he goes to another school, plays QB, and maybe never makes the NFL. Sometimes life works out, Shep being a great special teams player at LSU made him millions.
