I had my share of weed and bar fights. It's called college. Lot of very self righteous folks posting here who either didn't go to college or didn't party. Which is fine and all, but let's not act like JJ is a murderer of puppies.

The only viable way for Jefferswag to talk to incoming players IMO is doing so at least a few years down the road after living responsibly and accountably. I don't think it's a good idea for him to talk to the 2013 class but if he shows he can be a magnanimous human being for a few years then it might be ok.

I partied plenty in college and after. Never was in a fight though. Broke up many, but never threw or took a punch.

But you were around fights. Fights are common. Young men and alcohol make fights. It's part of life. Why in the world do we expect football players to be different?? Bc they play football? A game essentially based on aggression and legalized battery? If we hold football players to such a high standard then that's our problem not theirs.

There are a lot better candidates out there that could talk to the incoming freshies

I don't think it would be a terrible thing. While I disagree that weed and bar fights are serious offenses, it still can't be a terrible thing for any recent player to come speak to current players about what not to do. Don't know if it would help but I don't see where it would hurt the team.

Not a bad idea if he can keep it straight. Will not mean much if he is just doing it because he has to, though.

Court ordered stuff is a joke most of the time.

Larry-

Mettenberger groped a girl over 2 years ago as an 18 year old.. That's it. He paid his price and here's the big kicker. He learned from it. He has remorse for it. And he has made a point to change.

Jefferson. Not so much. He hasn't changed. and that is downright immature to even have that around Tyrann.. when you know Tyrann is struggling with this very issue. Why subject this crap around him? Why not be a better influence to a guy who could use it?

Seriously Jefferson can go screw himself for being so selfish and needs to get as far away from LSU as possible. I have lost any respect I even had for the guy.

Only guys that should ever talk to incoming guys are men who have changed and want to do it. Jefferson hasn't had a chance to change, he is being forced to do this. You should never be forced to speak to others.

You have to walk the walk before anyone should ever listen to you talk the talk. You lose all credibility when you have a non leader and immature idiot such as Jordan Jefferson speak to you. I am so done with this buffoon. And I was actually ready to give the guy a chance again up util this latest arrest.

He's from St. Rose, LA, St. Charles Parish, specifically Destrehan High School.

That's hardly "the hood" and definitely a racist comment out of you.

The hate for JJ is pretty incredible.

Weren't any of y'all young and stupid at some point in your life?

If given the opportunity to speak, how long before he misinterprets a player's facial expression and looks toward the coaches for help deciding what to say next?
