@LateKickJosh on @LSUfootball position while visiting with @CulottaShow.

Pate say many people haven't moved on USC opening yet, because of #LSU situation.

Will be hard to pull from OU. I think it’s funny that most of the rant thinks that would be a bad hire

Because the USC situation is highly toxic.

Because they almost annually lose at least one or two games to vastly inferior teams.

I'd be okay with that.
I don't think I would sign him for the amount of money it would take to fish him out of OU though.

Any coach wanting to run with the big dogs looks at LSU and they know if O can win it all they can too. That’s the good news.

So, you think Lincoln Riley would be a bad hire?

But but but Ed pumpers were saying that the job wasn't desirable and no good coach would want it!

Lincoln Riley's losses:

2017: @Iowa St, vs. #3 UGA (CFP semi)
2018: #19 Texas, #1 Alabama (CFP semi)
2019: @Kansas State, vs. #1 LSU (CFP semi)
2020: Kansas State, @Iowa State

The only team with a really poor record he's lost to was 2020 Kansas State. 2017 Iowa St and 2019 K-State were both 8-4 (5-4 Big 12)

OU is about to join the SEC and I seriously doubt OU lets Riley get away. Riley may interview, but then use that to get an even larger contract at OU.

Just so we’re clear, you’re reaching this conclusion before we’ve fired O based on comments from a 247 podcaster?

I think we’ll get a good, but not great coach. Just like with Jay Johnson.

Made it to the playoffs three straight years, that's about all you can ask for. Personally I think the talent advantage and recruiting ground at LSU could put him over the edge.

Compared to U$C? Hell no.

Helton was less than a figurehead. Not allowed to make play calls, not allowed to hire or fire. The entire athletic department at SC is a shithole that isn't going to fix itself any time soon, no coach wants that.
