I was looking at his stats last night before we pulled him. Three years ago, we as a fan base would have given our first born to have a QB put up the numbers Johnson did this year in two seasons combined.

Anyone with a brain can see how horrible our OC is. Now we find out he doesn't even call every play. The entire offensive game planning system is a shite show to the Nth degree.

The solution? Pull what is essentially still a FR QB (playing the equivalent of one full season in the SEC), kill his confidence, then run an offense that is even worse.

Yeah, great work Orgeron, staff, and the people who called on benching Johnson this soon.

If I'm Brad and company, I wait and see who the new coach is. If it is another moron, I take Max, my other son who is a great TE, and I get out ASAP.

The idea of basing QB evaluation on stats alone... brilliant!

You should transfer to Harvard.

It’s definitely the play calling and coaching. We have two QBs that looked exactly the same which tells me our OC might be dumber than O.

How do you know it killed Max’s confidence?

The offensive play calling is atrocious but Max is an average game manager at best. He's not gonna suddenly have a deep ball with a new hire

We also had to limit what we did with a new QB because, well, he was a NEW QB playing his first game.

As for the posters dogging Max's deep ball....Nuss' isn't much better.

Terrible coaching isn’t to blame for Max’s poor pocket presence and inability to process things and make quick decisions. Max just hasn’t progressed in those areas despite the reps.

Max was doing nothing when he was in there, not even making first downs, so I don't buy the theory he could have won the game.

The raw truth is either could have won with proper playcalling by the offensive coordinator(s).

Max takes too long, doesn’t recognize how to move up in the pocket and hardly takes the easy downs. If wide open vs waiting for the play to develop. Nuss will sling it and take the chance his receiver does his work to get it. Nuss stats are lower because of drops and almost catches. Max needs to find the fire of competition again to make him better not just sit on his but and expect the starting role to be his. That made him soft and 3 and outs. Nuss currently has an it factor that max needs to develop.

I don’t agree with this, just as I didn’t agree with…

Anyone with a brain can see how horrible our DC is.

Anyone with a brain can see how horrible Miles Brennan is.

Anyone with a brain can see how horrible Damone Clark is.

Anyone with a brain can see how horrible Baskerville is.

Anyone with a brain can see how horrible Harris is.

Anyone with a brain can see how horrible Deculus is.

Anyone with a brain can see how horrible Ensminger is.

Anyone with a brain can see how horrible Ingram is.

Anyone with a brain can see how horrible Kole Taylor is.

Anyone with a brain can see how horrible TDP is.

Anyone with a brain can see how horrible Flott is.

Anyone with a brain can see how horrible Ward is.

And all of these were popular opinions on the Rant at one time.

Max was never the problem with this team, but of course the backup quarterback is always the solution.

a couple???????????????????????????????????

no, we have seen all we need to see of max

he regularly completely misses wide open receivers by throwing it over their heads or bounced off the ground

that ship has sailed

it doesnt even look as if nuss got a chance to practice with any game plan at all and they just threw him out there with the same plays max ran and instructions to NEVER RUN under any circumstance. you can clearly see many times to run and he would stay in the pocket instead for a loss or throw an incompletion
