Would it be a fair comparison to say they are both great recruiters but don't know how to get the most out of their teams? It seems as though they are complete opposites in that JJ problem is on defense where as CLM problems are on offense. I know its still early in this basketball season and I don't want to lose faith on this young team, but they are making the same mistakes every game. Mostly on the defensive end and lack of toughness which is just a reflection of your coach. I'm just not sure JJ is the right person or have the right mentality to turn this team around.

I really don't think it's a fair comparison. Les has shown he has what it takes to be successful here. He's won on the biggest stage. Jones hasn't done shite.

Agreed.

But let's give Jones the rest of the season to see how it all plays out.

Not a fair comparison at all. Look at the won and loss record over the history of their programs...

Say what you want about Miles, but he does not lose games that he is expected to win easily. On paper there was no reason why LSU basketball should have lost to Marquette or College of Charleston. Miles, at least will find away to win those games even if his team is playing like they are sleepwalking. Jones gets his teams to lose when they are by far the superior talent... see Auburn last year

Oh I agree we really have to wait to see how this team progresses to judge him

They both lack the ability to get the best from their players.

Negative. Basketball only has 14 players to blame for the team's failures whereas football has 90+ on the roster to take the heat.

Advantage football.

That's so much be regarding miles. To even mention Jones and miles in the same breath is a joke. LSU has struggled some lately but LSU under miles has beaten the shite out of a lot of good teams.

Its amazing the talent that both coaches piss away. They are one in the same, great guys, but bad coaches.

True....But that DOES NOT mean he has gotten the best out of his players. Winning a game and getting the best from your players are not one in the same. We have beat some bad teams and good teams and looked like shite doing it.
