last summer he did an interview with Andy Katz, and Andy asked him something about the SEC and this was his response: "we have a tough league. kentucky & florida have won championships recently. AND ARKANSAS WON THE LEAGUE A FEW YEARS AGO."

Andy Katz said "that was in the early '90s, coach."

That's when i knew he was a buffoon.

Hey Johnny, since I refuse to call you a coach, give us your minimum expectations for next year which will allow you to keep your job.

coach, is it possible that your team brought so MUCH energy that they in turn couldn't harness the good energy and block the bad?

"hey coach, if you were a highly sought after recruit, why would you want to come play here at LSU after the year we just had?"

If you actually get to go and want to ask a serious question...

Ask him about how the lack of a true point guard with a strong offensive game affected this team. Quarterman isn't a PG, and usually jacked up too many threes when he played the position. Gray played good defense, but his decision making and dependence on out-of-control driving seemed to really limit him and the team. He's had decent point guard play in the past, whether it be here with Hickey or at UNT with Josh White. How much would a guy like that have helped the team this year?

Johnny, what are your thoughts regarding the photo montage posted on TD depicting our season month by month?

Guys, he is out of his league. Let's not blame him for trying.

It's The administration that has placed a kicker at quarterback to use football terms.

Seems like a good guy and is a great recruiter but this isn't all his fault.

In any administration or company, you need to be able to select talent and place those people where they will most succeed. If they can't do it, they can't.

Maybe he failed at moving players around for the right positions but it starts at the top regarding blame.

JJ will get one more year.

Remember this: Trent Johnson's last three years we were 2-14, 3-13, and 7-9 in the SEC. JJ has been 9-9, 9-9, 11-7, and 11-7.

Y'all may think CJJ is the worst HC in the US but that simply is not what the record indicates. In terms of winning SEC games, he is in the top one fourth of current SEC games.

I am not saying worst but he is "out of position" and not what the program is looking to invest in. Spoiled or not.

Sorry. Is what it is.

It's probably a season-ending news conference. Those are pretty common.

All "numbers" aside, if you watched the team play this season, you know this was an abortion of a year. It really was mind-boggling. Now, if you want to talk numbers- be sure to figure in this seasons OC games. Now we're talking sucky.

It's almost as if you're taking both sides by trumping up his SEC records and his positioning but then saying he gets another year. If his record is so good why admit next year is pivotal?

By skipping the NIT he's already proven he doesn't mind "quitting".

A coach who has the courage to say he is not interested in accepting a post season tournament invitation… Hopefully he has the courage to step down.

I would ask him if he feels he has any right to ask his team to finish games/not quit in the future when he did yesterday...

...and was he surprised they didn't go on a 30-0 run in the 2H after he decided saving CV from getting his 3rd foul was more important than keeping his team in the game.
