I mean that's pretty decent bang for our buck I suppose. You get what you pay for, amirite?

LSU could have paid more for a coach.
They chose Jonny Jones because the basketball alums told them who to hire.

The Trent Johnson hire was lauded at the time ... didn't work out, but at the time everyone that's not named Temple thought that was a great hire.

Actually, Temple was pretty pumped to have an African American head coach. But then when Trent told him he didn't need his help to run the program, Collis got butthurt.

Unfortunately, it appeared Trent needed help from somebody cause he sucked at recruiting.

It turned out to not be realistic the 1st time around. Can't see him wanting to come now.

I dont know why we cant even get in the name for one of those types. Instead we hire a long term North Texas coach because hey he went to LSU

God forbid we go out and try and land a Gregg Marshall (who now gets paid a shite ton at WSU).

Alabama, Auburn and Mississippi State have all gotten serious about basketball with their recent hires. We are getting left in the dust as long as we keep Johnny.

We should all go heckle Collis and Dale the next time they're at a home game.

Remember how during the 2012 coaching "search", the rumors of Jamie Dixon from Pittsburgh were hot.

And then, we settled for Johnny, which I think we all knew would happen.

How depressing.

In some level of fairness, when we started our coaching search in 2012, it was very late in the game.
