John Emery Extra Year?

Can Emery get another year of eligibility? Seems like he would really benefit with one more year to improve his draft stock. I am not sure with his situation if an extra year from COVID would be an option.

He needs to do whatever he can to make sure he gets some form of degree is all I’m saying.

I'm not sure he has enough film to even be drafted. There's moments of flashes and a good game here or there but yeah, he can come back if he wants to.

I’m pretty sure he has two years if he wants them.
He was a freshman in 2019 and he gets a Covid year and a redshirt.
That would actually make him a redshirt sophomore right now.

Every player gets 5 yrs to play 4. 2020 was a freebie yr and did not count for eligibility. Emery,couting this season, will have played 2 in 3. By my count he has two more yrs of eligibility if he chooses to take them.

I would like to see him come back. If he wants to drive his NFL stock up. JE, AG, Holly coming in... Bleeds loads of talent at RB.

2021 was a suspension so can't be used as a redshirt year. He has appeared in 5 games this year so this year is counted. So 2020, and 2022 make 4 years. 2023 would be the 5th year granted by Covid.

I want to see him blow up against Bama weekend after next. Just a fan, but he flashes amazing talent and I want to see him taking over games, sooner rather than later.
I want him to do what is best for him, and I hope it is sneaking into a 1-2 round after leaving his name etched in SEC lore.

Really crazy to see how things have turned out. He seemed to be one of the hottest RB prospects at LSU next to Fournette. But it just never seemed to happen. Wish him the best.

Yep, just needs to be available throughout the year so he can get more opportunities. Love how he’s added a power game to his great speed, can’t give up on him.
