Why hell yes he was, Smoke never had a losing season like Brady, and Smoke was the SEC's winningest HC during his five years(by a game over Tanner), and LSU went to 2 CWS in his 5 yrs as HC(albeit two-and-q each trip). Nevermind that it was the best program in the land on the slide from national dominance.

It had become in the best interest of John Brady and LSU to part company. Brady has taken a step back to recharge after a ten year grind to restore a moribund program to national prominence. He did not achieve everything LSU fnas wanted, but most of his SEC brethren coaches pale in comparison. How much of a step back is it?

you must be a real idiot.......that final four coach left the program in shambles......Trent had a good year last year, we all knew it would be a down year this year. On top of that the kids listen and play hard the entire game. That is something we never saw froma Brady coached team.......Consistency and listening to the coach.......in 2 years we are solid NCAA evert year...........
