That other thread is anchored so I couldn't bump it back to front page.

The crazy thing is if last year's offense was more like this year's offense he may just have eclipsed Hodson in just 2 years.

I don't think Joe's career passing yards are correct. I see 7,609.

Career Total Yards

1. Hodson - 8,938
2. Burrow - 8,297

Career Passing TDs

1. Hodson - 69
2. Burrow - 64

Joe could potentially end as the career leader in both in only 2 seasons. Damn.

I think if you include the SECCG he only needs around 600 yards. That number is attainable in two games if we get to the NCG. That would be insane. Eclipsing over half the record in a season is already ridiculous.

All good.

I just want to restate that single game passing list.

LSU football has played about 1270 games. We've watched 13 this year so far. More than half the time this year, we got to witness a passing performance that is in the top 1% of all games played in the history of LSU football. Any one of his games listed through 13 would have been at least the 6th best passing performance in LSU history, or top .5% of all games played.

I feel like I am trying to comprehend the size of the universe right now.

i feel like we need a measure of 'top 10' wins those stats came against. those 4-year stats from QBs back in the 1990s like Howard & Tyler don't take into consideration many of the games were LOST.

A few others that shock me a bit.

The most 300 yard passing games in a career before this season was Rohan's 7. Joe has 11 THIS YEAR (13 in his career, one shy of doubling the previous record.)

Before this season, LSU had 3 games in its history where a QB threw for at least 400 yards. Joe has 2, with 2 games to double the LSU historical total.

when you see the stats all listed out like this his total dominance is incredible.

imagine what a 3rd year would have done!

I imagine that a lot.

One more post, because why not?

An article was posted before this season listing 15 unbreakable SEC records. Here is where Joe stands on breaking unbreakable records 4 months after they were dubbed such, with 1-2 games left to play:

1. Tim Couch's 400 completions in a season (1998) - Joe needs to complete 59 passes in the next two games to get to 401 (He has completed 30+ four times this season).

2. Johnny Manziel's 393.5 yards/game total offense (2010) - Joe needs 883 yards in the next two games (442/game) to break it (he has achieved 442+ total yards in a game 3 times this year.)

a) Side note, another of those unbreakable records was Florida WR Reidel Anthony's 18 TD receptions in 1996. Ja'Marr Chase already has 18 this year.

insane looking at what chase and jefferson have done. imagine if burrow only had a single go-to receiver. their name would be #1 for every LSU record.

Receiving Yards Single Season
1. Ja'Marr Chase - 18 2019
2. Justin Jefferson - 14 2019

3. Dwayne Bowe - 12 2006
4. Wendell Davis - 11 1986
(tie) Devery Henderson - 11 2003
(tie) Brandon LaFell - 11 2009
7. Carlos Carson - 10 1977
(tie) Josh Reed - 10 2000
(tie) Michael Clayton - 10 2003
(tie) Jarvis Landry - 10 2013
(tie) Terrace Marshall Jr.- 10 2019

Marshall has a legit shot in the next 2 games of moving into 3rd.
