Chris Blair by far! I've throughly enjoyed listening to Blair this weekend. After wondering how LSU sports would sound after only knowing Jim Hawthorne my entire life of listening to LSU athletics, Blair has been outstanding. Poor Jim has to go out with that shite show Johnny Jones has created.

Actually, probably Julia Sell or Beth Torina. Did he hire Chuck Winsted?

Not trying to just be negative, but he annoys me as of now. His radio voice seems forced. Maybe I'll get used to it. Also, why not bring someone in close to the program? We shouldn't have to be teaching new LSU announcers who Todd Walker is.

Why is that? His "radio voice" struck me as forced. It struck me as comical today listeners were tweeting in to teach him about LSU's past players. Please clarify your point, frickwad.

He's excellent. Sounds like I'm listening to a MLB broadcast.

asking fans to tweet him and Doug their favorite LSU Baseball moments isn't asking for fans to teach him about the program's history. You're being ridiculous.

They SPECIFICALLY said it was to catch him up on his lack of knowledge about LSU's great players of the past. I'm finished commenting to idiots today.

Chris Blair by far! I've throughly enjoyed listening to Blair this weekend.

While I find him extremely professional, he lacks a distinguishing voice. He doesn't sound like he's from here. On the face of it, that's not such a bad thing, but in the past, when scanning the dial for an LSU game, when I ran into Hawthorne's or Ferguson's voice, I KNEW you had the right game instantly.

Blair just seems more suited to national level broadcasting as opposed to regional.

Blair is a pro. I really liked him this weekend, and I prefer to listen to baseball on the radio even when it is on TV. I always liked Hawthorn. Blair is about as good a new guy as we could have gotten.

And I don't need some couyon getting all hyped just to get hyped. When something good happened, Blair called it that way.

I'd imagine you'll gain that with whoever becomes, "the voice," in time. When someone has done it as long as those you've mentioned, just hearing that person talk makes you wax nostalgic. Sort of like someone cooking a pot roast(or whatever fond smell you may have) brings you back to your mom's cooking.

I, for one, really liked Hawthorne and it's going to take me a while to appreciate anyone who isn't Jim bringing the game to me. Of all the sports for radio, baseball is the best in my opinion so I like that this is where Blair is cutting his teeth. All it's going to take is a few good calls in memorable moments to truly accept the newb and that requires a little time.
