His contract goes through June, 2019 (thanks google). While I would argue that it is $749,999 too much, I see a potential bright spot. If the big money donors had no problem coming up with the $10 million+ buyout for Miles, coming up with a buyout for Alleva is peanuts by comparison.

He has @ 2 1/2 years left on his contract, so that's about a $1.87 million buyout. That doesn't seem like an unrealistic number to buyout for the affluent donors. Is this possible?

He's not going anywhere unless Yaw fails. I'm not sure how this is that complicated

As long as to the tap is continuously flowing and there's no major scandal with the athletic department, Alleva is staying around.

Miles leveraged LSU for Arkansas, what a joke.
Alleva leveraged LSU for Tennessee, see a pattern.

F. King makes $750,000 base salary as well. That's because the LSU Board is full of a bunch of POS's who could give a hoot about comparing results to salary.

should we start a rumor that Joe Alleva murdered 50 hookers?

because I heard somewhere that Joe Alleve murdered 50 hookers. Allegedly.

Did anyone else hear that joe alleva murdered 50 hookers?

No need for violence, a rumor stating Alleva allegedly had relations with a co-ed will do it.

Do AD's actually have a buyout, or guaranteed contract? Hard to believe LSU cant fire an employee for not performing his duties well. (maybe AD's typically have guaranteed contracts, I have no idea really(

A last resort could be Alleva was a participant in the glory hole incident last year...

They do all the time. However, the Board of Supervisors is over this hire. There is crooked politics in Louisiana and then there are the Board of Supervisors. How they can make more money is paramount to everything else and what is good for LSU.

Unfortunately, I think the only thing that could save LSU is if some information came to light that in Alleva's work history there was an episode where he wrongly terminated a coach and canceled an athletic season based upon an off-field scandal that was completely fabricated. Short of that unlikely scenario happening, I think LSU is stuck.

it's all about money that the athletic dept brings in. If the money flow continues, Alleva is safe.

Could always see what he's used the university credit card on. Ask former "undefeated" Alabama coach Mike Price about that.

One of those hookers was a classmate of mine. We still kept in touch occasionally. She said Joe was always one of her weirdest customers. He gradually kept asking for weirder stuff but paid better than anyone else. She went missing about a month ago but doesn't really have much family or close friends to push the issue much. Joe probably has the right connections to make this all go away.
