so you say. but you really don't know how that came down despite what others on here say.

but he's not "the search" anyway despite what he says. what he will do is to work with the search committee and do the interviews. he will then make a recommendation; I guarantee that the BOS has to approve this hire. 5-6 mil a year? TAF will have their finger in the pie too (as they should).

He only has to hire a head football coach who will have a higher winning percentage then Coach Miles, win the SEC and a NC in 3 years or less or he's a failure.

Which Miles? Post 1/9/12 or the one from 2005-2007? Which is it? Hell I'll let you throw in 2011 if you want.
Here is what I know as fact:
12-10 in the last 22 games against the Power 5 conference opponents, but keep defending you butt hurt assholes.

You're saying Alleva did that?

We don't know how many people leaked.

Alleva did not lock Jimbo down. When negotiating, you gauge interest, then find out what it takes to close the deal. If there is a sticking point on either side, you iron it out, if possible. Then you sign the contract.

With Jimbo, it seems as if everything was ironed out but it fell through. Keeping everything secret after all the leaks is PR and self protection.

I wonder if all communications between them and Jimbo's rep are subject to FOIA

I have never heard that a contract was signed. What I heard is that the agent came back the day before the aTm game and asked for another million a year.

Yes, anything sent by his email or phone paid by public funds is subject to the FOIA. A simple prepaid phone by him personally would not be subject to those same stipulations. Skip said he sent only one email asking an AD for permission to speak to a coach and would never do it again because of the FOIA.
