Why no 3rd or 4th quarter summaries when he started playing terribly?

Because of the character limit. I had to go back and delete a lot of the extra shite I was typing just to have room to say what happened on the last few possessions. Here is what I posted later:

After watching the whole game again, I feel a lot better. JJ played MUCH better than the first 3 games. Not saying he's great or even good, but if he plays like that the rest of the way, we will be fine. Statistically he had a really bad game, but if you look at the actual plays, throws, and situations he was in (see edited original post), he did well.

For the most part he was accurate with his passes. He had a handful of bad throws and a handful of bad decisions throwing the ball, but he played good enough to be that "game management" quarterback that is all we are asking for.

He's not a good enough quarterback to be able to have a lot of success in 3rd and long situations. Stupid penalties and dropped balls (that were very catchable) had the down and distance working against us all night.

All that said, if we only committed half of our 12 penalties for 120 yards, and WRs dropped only half of the catchable passes that they dropped, and JJ makes 1-2 fewer mental errors and 1-2 fewer bad passes... then we are all chatting with coworkers tomorrow about how JJ is starting to come around and the offense is starting to click and looking forward to Saturday with a lot more enthusiasm.

All I'm saying is that:
a) JJ has improved and deserves some credit for that
b) JJ is getting too much of the blame for the offensive woes against WVU.
c) Les Miles is going to come out Wednesday and say his QB played well and if it wasn't for penalties and some drops they would have had a much more productive offensive game.
and d) When Les Miles says that the fans in this town are going to lynch him, even though he's right.

Your analysis is way too subjective. It's filled with bias. You can't say he did this because (and then place blame on the "pressure" when "analyzing"). Unfortunately for you he was getting a much more realistic analysis from the commentators at the game. It went something like this... "See this , If jefferson throws this ball here, instead of waiting two seconds, its a touch down." , "Ok, he finally made the right decision, but his accuracy is just terrible.", "He just isnt quick enough, mentally. His decision making is too slow. He waits until his recievers break, yeah you have to have faith in your recievers and throw it before they get there.", "Yeah, it seems like he instantly checks from his primary reciever to his closest route, not looking down field at any of the other recievers."

Just because his recievers catch the ball, does not mean it was "on the money." If it was "on the money" his recievers don't have to stop to catch the ball on most routes or do acrobatic stunts to get their hands on it.
