Last year our offense was around 100 in FBS in total offense as well. JJ is a pathetic passer. He misses wide open targets constantly. He has a huge wind up and always takes way too long to get rid of the ball. He is indecisive and he's gotten worse. Quit pumping sunshine, preacher.

JJ two years ago in the SEC championship game against TN? You mean the one Perriloux won while Flynn was out with an injury? I'm lost there. We haven't been in the SEC championship since that game.

And yes, chef Hiroyuki Sakai was the best on the original iron chef.

Are you referring to his high school numbers?

nah I think he's talking about his numbers in pretty much all his games prior to Vandy this yr. if we could get that kind of production (and I use the word loosely) out of JJ with this yr's improved running game, we'd be in business.

unfortunately, he's about as bad a starting QB as I've seen these past 7 games and Leslie won't sit him down.

Anxiety couldn't be his problem. If he was anxious, he would be hyperactive, he'd throw the ball before routes were open, make premature moves... he suffers from something called mental slowness, where he makes his decisions about 2 seconds too late.

You are right about Perriloux. Facts mixed up.

I dont' believe is, um, due for a good game. He's going to hear a lot of boos, however. It's just going to happen.

Anxiety, meaning fear. Not the kind that makes you play better, but when there's too much it makes you play worse. I think he can play better but I don't think he's managing the "fear factor" involved. Maybe he's afraid of losing his starting job. I think he should. Then it'd be done with, and maybe coming off the bench as the backup he'd play better.

I think you're looking at statistics in the wrong context. Efficiency is misleading, if your quarterback is 6 of 9.... when there were 25 called passing plays, and the 16 plays where he didn't throw the ball because he is so worried about his efficiency ended up in a 1 yard scramble or a 4 yard loss.

Hiroyuki Sakai...

Gotta love him, but I miss Morimoto from back in the day.

Oh and on the OP's question or comment.

JJ is what he is. I keep hoping Greg McElroy will finally trust his receivers and throw them the damn ball and let them make a play on the ball, but it ain't gonna happen.

After 3 years, you know what you have with Jefferson and it's what you've seen every week prior to this.

Then when he is pulled he sits on the bench and pouts. If he's not doing that he follows Miles up and down the sideline asking "you want me to go in". Painful to watch.

I disagree. If anything, he is due to trend closer to the mean or slightly beneath it...

He will be playing a tougher defense than any he has faced this year. JJ will not have a breakout game that defy his statistics. Sorry.

And I would love to come back and apologize for my prediction being horribly wrong on Sunday.

Let's hope that he plays like he did against TENN two years ago in the Sec Championship game. I'd take that any day.
