I listened to a Florida State podcast earlier today and it gave some very bad reasons on why Jimbo is not leaving like, "Florida State's program is just better than LSU's." But it did give one very good reason. Jimbo is currently in the middle of divorcing his wife Candi. Also he loves his two sons very much and will not leave them. So will the divorce cause Jimbo to stay in Florida to stay with his kids or will he bring the whole family on a great adventure to Baton Rouge.

Also his son ethan has a terminal illness, and they do not know how long he will live. And Tallahassee has a medical research center for his son and Baton Rouge may not have that.
Here is the podcast if you want to listen, but it is really long.

wrong. The youngest has Fanconi Anemia and their doctor is in LA. They specifically want this doc only.

the wife has custody of the kids and loves the bayou. most likely she will move as well, even though they are separated.

Jimbo is probably not coming to LSU.

There is a lot that would have to happen that isn't worth it to LSU or Jimbo.

Tom Herman, on the other hand...

Tallahassee sucks.

Would you want to listen to the Seminole chant continuously through every game? That would drive me insane.

The local people in Fla were pretty ugly on Twitter etc regarding his wife and what happened. I would say all things lean toward them coming here. Just too much silence in some places with too much smoke from others.

Hate to hear about a sick child and I hate to hear about marriage problems. Wish them all the best.

This certainly gives credibility to what DALSU said a couple of days ago.

fiction. link it, bruh.

the wife has custody of the kids

fact

and loves the bayou

fiction. she has no particular connection to the bayou other than that she's been there for a stretch. she actually loves AU and I thought that might be enough to convince Jimbo to take that job a couple of years ago. she's from birmingham. her family is in birmingham.

most likely she will move as well

fact, but he's not moving. What can LSU give Jimbo that FSU cannot? he has fertile recruiting bed, easier path to championship where he is, and the money would be similar if not the same at FSU.

LSU is a great job, but you're about to fire your HC to hire an up and comer or, perhaps, Chip Kelly. Jimbo is getting a raise.
