The positiveness of this thread offends me.

Doesn't get one carry in the 2nd quarter last night. Hill should get 25 carries a game.

He wasn't really needed last night so let others get carries and minimize risk of injury. I suspect we will see much more of him in two weeks. No question, he is gone after this year.

I hope either he or Copeland run over that traitor from Bama and knock his arse out of the game!

Oh. Sorry. I thought this was still the Score Board. Disregard. Hill is good.

To compare.. in 2008, Ingram won the heisman with 1658 yards on 271 carries.. 6.1 ypc, 17 TDs

Hill is great. And ANY chance at us beating Bama will rely on him getting 20 something carries and over 120 yds. FACT..

I felt Brazil would have been a great weapon against Bama. It seems we have had more success running outside rather than inside against Bama's big linebackers. Brazil's speed, I felt would be a great weapon. Oh well, maybe Mcgee has the speed to get outside on them as well.

If we can run outside we can at least get 3 yards per carry instead of zero or 1 up the middle against them.

I agree wholeheartedly Hill is easily the best back on the team.

That said, against Furman? LSU SHOULD rest starters, and did. Not like the running game was causing the issues, and not like it skipped a beat with him out.

The #1 goal against a team like that is simple...no injuries. Other than that, an opponent like Furman is a lose-lose situation.

I have no problem with him at less carries against a FURMAN. But IF he had over 20 carries against Ole Miss, LSU wins that game plain and simple. Like I have ALWAYS said. Miles does not know how to use a stud RB in the right way. The ONLY time I remember him doing so was in the 2007 FLA game when he KNEW Hester was the hot back and kept grinding him. The same effort by Hill is the ONLY way LSU beats Bama.

"Certainly Jeremy Hill is a very quality player. But we feel we have 3 other backs with a want to contribute to a Tiger victory. At that point in time during the 2nd quarter, we felt Jeremy had done enough in proving he can run the ball."
